This weekend the International Indoor Championships took place in Las Vegas. In the Modified Rubber Touring class Ronald Völker (Yokomo) took the win in front of Xray’s Paul Lemieux and Alexander Hagberg (Xray). The Team Associated team mates Juho Levanen and Keven Hebert rounded out the top 5.

New from Arrowmax comes this 21-piece honeycomb tool set containing many of the important metrical tool sizes. The 2014 DHI Cup will be held from the weekend of the 10th to 12th of January 2014 in Odense, Denmark. As in previous years there will also be an off-road race run alongside the traditional touring car race. The classes will be Touring Car Modified and “blinky” 13.5T Super Stock with LRP motors. Off-Road will be run in 2WD and 4WD. The race will be under control of Hartmut Wenzel and David Church and registration opens Monday the 14th of October on myrcm.com. The first round of the hotly contested Silverstone Winter Series took place at the Silverstone Model Car Club. In the 2WD class Kyosho’s Elliott Boots took TQ and went on to win the A final with Kevin Lee and Nathan Waters completing the podium. Callum Niblett came in fourth with Tom Yardy and David Burton in tow.

The Roche big bore shock absorber set for the Yokomo BD7 includes all needed parts to convert the kit suspension for the use with large volume shocks. The set comes with new aluminium threaded shock absorbers with aluminium upper and lower caps, different fluorine rubber diaphragms, titanium-nitride coated shocks shafts, for types of VBC big bore springs, 4-hole pistons and low profile carbon fibre shock towers. The shocks are also usable on many other cars that use low-profile shock absorbers.

RGT Hobby introduce the R2 Prospec Blue edition 4WD touring car kit. The limited edition kit offers a 2.0mm carbon fibre main chassis and top deck, carbon fibre shock towers, aluminium lower bulkheads, aluminium suspension mounts with interchangeable toe inserts, as well as front and rear steel CV driveshafts. The batter holder is designed to take all ROAR-legal battery packs and the kit also features a rear heavy duty gear differential with aluminium outdrives, short hard-coated aluminium shock absorbers and spring steel turnbuckles.

Capricorn released first renderings of their forthcoming LAB C801 based 1/8th electric on-road car. The car makes use of many of the nitro variant’s features such as the aluminium chassis, the 3-belt drivetrain and the suspension components. New for the electric car are the aluminium motor mount and the carbon fibre upper plate that allows the use of three 2S Shorty LiPo battery packs to run the car in 6S configuration. The batteries are held in place by a carbon fibre quick release strap with the speed controller being located atop the motor. Capricorn use a 2000kv motor to power the car that is meant to have an all up weight of around 2500g and that will become available by November.

CML Racing announce the addition of Greg Williams to their talented team of racers. The multiple BRCA Junior National champion in under 13’s and under 16’s will use the full line up of Team Associated electric off-road cars and a full complement of Reedy, Pro-Line, Savöx and Etronics equipment.
