Arrowmax have launched a full series of transmission belt gears for the Mugen MRX5 chassis. The pulleys are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminium for highest precision and hard coated for maximum durability. Venting holes help to dissipate heat produced by the belts during running while they also keep the weight low for less rotating masses.

KM Racing got in touch to tell us about a new option part for the H-K1 200mm on-road chassis. With 52 gram the 3mm soft carbon main chassis is of super light weight and 8 gram lighter than the standard carbon chassis plate. The low weight and increased torsional flex makes this chassis ideal  for outlaw club races and small tracks. With the help of KM Racing’s optional weights the centre of gravity and overall weight is adjustable to your own liking.

Tekno RC M5 pinion gears

Tekno RC release their new line of M5 Mod1 pinion gears for 1/8th electric and any other application that needs Mod1 gears. Available from 11 up to 30 teeth the pinions are precision machined from steel and hardened for durability. They feature 5mm bore, an M5 set screw and a laser-etched size identification.

Adam Drake sweeps at Bring the Heat

Adam Drake has won both the 1/8 scale nitro Buggy and Truggy class at the Bring the Heat event at the Flowood R/C Indoor Park in Mississippi. TLR’s Mark Pavidis took TQ in both classes but only managed to finish second behind team mate Drake. Third on the podium was in Expert Buggy was TLR’s Josh Glancy who left Alan Burton (Agama) and Ronda Drake (Mugen) behind. In Expert Truggy that certain Mrs. Drake finished forth with Denver Houghton (TLR) in fifth position.

Team Associated RC8.2 Factory Team Kit

Team Associated release the RC8.2 Factory Team kit with a load of new option parts. Featuring the new Factory Team +3mm 7075 hard anodised chassis plate, the new chassis adds 3mm of length to optimise weight distribution and overall handling. Adding to this are newly designed suspension arms with centreline shock mounts and optimised anti-roll bar position. The new suspension arms were designed to work with the Factory Team 5mm 7075 aluminium low-CG shock towers to improve and optimise the suspension geometry, making the new buggy more plush and forgiving in rougher terrain. The Factory Team kit includes the 16mm “Big Bore” hard-anodised threaded shocks with 4mm titanium nitride coated shafts and revised shock boots to help increase traction and keep the rubber on the ground. Also included in the kit are JConcepts Punisher body and Illusion wing.

Capricorn LAB-C01 options & off-road setup system

Capricorn release two new option parts for the LAB-C01 on-road chassis and an off-road setup system for 1/8 scale off-road cars. The new two-piece brass engine mount for the C01 add weight to the lower part of the chassis, features machined cooling fins and is also usable on Shepherd’s V10 chassis. Also designed for the LAB-C01 are the new front drive shafts that are suggested for the use with a solid front axle. The off-road setup system is machined from aluminium and polycarbonate and helps to measure and adjust toe, camber and caster on the front and rear of nearly all 1/8 scale off-road buggies.

CSO release new option parts for nitro on-road chassis. Designed for the Serpent 733 is the 7075 T6 lightweight front suspension bracket. The parts come anodised in gun metal colour and laser-etched. Also available are steel lightweight front oneway axles for the Xray RX-8 and Mugen MRX-5. The parts are strategically milled without sacrificing durability.

Designed by Mark Pavidis and Jared Tebo AKA’s new Rebar Short Course tyre is ideally suited for indoor and hard packed, blue grooved outdoor tracks. The tyre features double side rails on the edges of the tire provide extra sidewall support. This extra support is key to making the tire feel consistent in the turns allowing for a more aggressive driving style. The wide staggered centre lugs give the tyre great forward traction to hook up the power and launch your vehicle off the corner and over the jumps.
