Yokomo YD-2/4 adjustable rear aluminium H-arms

Yokomo have introduced their new adjustable aluminium rear H-arms for the YD-2 and YD-4 series of drift cars. The multi-piece wishbones are slightly shorter than the standard parts for improved drift performance while included shims allow to fine-tune the car’s track width to ensure best possible adaption to various track conditions and driving styles. The sturdy alloy material makes for great precision and an optimised weight distribution with the arms being a direct fit on the YD-2EXII car but they require Y2-301D2 and Y2-301E2 rear alloy arm mounts as well as B8-301BS bushings for installation in all other YD-2 and YD-4 kits.

JConcepts Summer INS8 – Report

The 2018 JConcepts Summer INS8 was held at Action Hobby in Chandler, Arizona last weekend. Within a few short years, the facility has nestled itself as one of America’s beloved race track. It’s unique, it’s filled with people that genuinely care, and perhaps the biggest highlight is the facility and location can’t get much better. With races that sell out in minutes, Hobby Action has established itself among the world’s best and is well known for the Desert Classic and the JConcepts Summer Indoor National Series. However, this year, Hobby Action has stepped up and will soon play host to the 2018 1/10th Electric Nationals this August. This year’s track had a lot of elevation changes from dips to elevated turns, it kept racers constantly on their toes as the only thing that was flat was the straightaway (and rightfully so). The jumps weren’t large or monumental, but the tricky approaches to the jumps played a heavy role on the fast laps. Overall, the laps were easy to produce but fast laps were hard to come by as reaching the limit was greeted with traction roles and off-line spinouts.

Schumacher Mi6evo ultra short shock conversion

Schumacher have introduced the ultra short shock conversion kit for the Mi6evo touring car. The conversion provides the car with a lower centre of gravity than the standard kit shocks and towers. Stroke has not been compromised, these shocks and towers actually give more stroke than a standard Mi6evo. The shocks offer enhanced damping characteristics with a new larger diameter while the lower CG reduces the risk of traction roll on high-grip circuits. Included come 3 and 4-hole pistons included that utilise a new improved fixing method using a screw and a new seal pack housing with new O-rings improve sealing to prevent leakage. The kit includes all the parts required to convert to the ultra short shocks, including a new 5.5 turn 1.4mm wire 3.0 (N/mm) Schumacher spring and it has already demonstrated its performance in the hands of Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski with his 3rd place at the ETS Hudy Arena.
