EWS Abroad Austria – Announcement

Oli Meggitt and the well-known EWS team announce the first EWS Abroad to be taking place later this year. Taking their popular EWS style of events outside of the UK for the first time, the race will take place at the popular MAV Aigen-Schlägl circuit in northern Austria, on the weekend of 1st and 2nd September. The event will feature a number of electric on-road classes, for Modified and Super Stock Touring Cars, plus Formula, all running to rules based on ETS, plus classes for Stock and Modified electric 1:8th scale. Factory drivers from Awesomatix, Infinity, Tonisport and Yokomo are already confirmed to join the race, and the location of the track close to the German and Czech borders means drivers from all over Europe can easily attend. It is planned to make this race a fun and relaxed atmosphere to end the outdoor summer season, with the host club arranging a driver’s party on the Saturday night too. RC Concept 4S balance charge lead

Coming from RC Concept is their new balance charge harness for dual 2S LiPo battery packs. The 600mm long harness allows to charge two 2S LiPo packs from one charger output, saving a lot of time and making it possible to charge four packs at the same time using a dual output charger. The balance charge wire comes pre-soldered with 4mm charger and stepped 4mm/5mm plugs on the battery side as well as an XH balancer port and 2mm balance plugs. The harness is only usable with dual 2S packs but not a single 4S battery.

Kyosho tease updated MP9 E-buggy

Kyosho have released a first official teaser image of their forthcoming new Inferno MP9-based 1/8th electric buggy kit. Currently in use at this week’s 2018 Alabama Manufacturer Shootout race in Cullman, Alabama, in the hands of Jared Tebo, the buggy is expected be fully unveiled next week. While sporting a new radical body shell design with a rear shark fin, the buggy is also expected to feature a totally new weight distribution. We bring you more details on the kit as they become available.

MST TCR series 1/10th 2WD on-road kit – Coming soon

Max Speed Technology soon have their all-new TCR series 1/10th scale 2WD on-road chassis kits available. The cars will feature an independent four wheel suspension, six wheelbase settings and they offer the ability to run a total of three motor and drivetrain configurations including a front, rear-mid or rear motor layout. The kit was developed with the focus on a simple and easy to work on yet highly versatile platform that is ideal for entry and club level racing series. More information will become available in time for the release. Also coming soon are suitable body shells with the first to show being a classic Honda Civic EG6.

Radtec 1/10th on-road droop gauge

Coming from Radtec is their new suspension droop gauge for 1/10th scale on-road vehicles. The gauge is of a unique “pyramid” design with 0.4mm increment steps per side, however by flipping the gauge 0.2mm increments are accessible with the overall design minimising chances of the tool interfering with the suspension arm. The gauge is made of quality aluminium material, it comes black anodised, with machined silver edge details and white markings for easy reading of the settings.

Yeah Racing Wind Pressurizer cooling fan booster

Coming from Yeah Racing is their new Wind Pressuriser, a cooling fan booster for 30mm speed controller fans. Machined from aluminium the part will greatly improve cooling efficiency as it not only maximised the air flow but also acts as an additional heatsink. The booster is made of black anodised aluminium and it is best used in applications that are less sensitive to a slightly higher centre of gravity such as 1/10th drift cars.

Chevron Models 917K 200mm pan car body shell

Japanese company Chevron Models have introduced their long-awaited Porsche 917K 200mm body shell for Tamiya F103 and Group C kits. The scale body shell features light inserts for the front lights, and it can be build in two downforce configurations with either side dams or a centre add-on wing. The front width of the body is 203mm while the rear end is 220mm wide and the lid is also usable with F104W chassis when equipped with Chevron’s optional wide rear wheels. Included comes a detailed sticker sheet with window frames, lights, wipers and many more.

Vigor RC BD8/7 diff O-ring cutting tool

Vigor RC have introduced their new O-ring cutting tool for the Yokomo BD8 and BD7 differentials. The tool allows to reduce the O-ring’s thickness to 1.5mm or 1.4mm in order to build a smooth and leak-free unit. Using the 1.5mm setting will create a smoother diff feeling than stock while the 1.4mm setting ensures an ever smoother diff action. The tool was developed for the original Yokomo BD-500G0 O-rings and it is available now.
