Trinity LCG Modified 4000MAh LiHV hardcase battery

Trinity have introduced their new ReVtech 4000mAh 55C LiHV battery pack for Modified buggy applications. The pack is housed in a 1S 1/12th standard 95x47x18.5mm LCG shorty hardcase but offers 7.6V of voltage and a capacity of 4000mAh. The pack is built from new Graphene technology cells that use higher grade and safer materials which results in longer battery life while a new assembly technology limits cell puffing. The pack utilises 5mm bullet-type connectors, it weighs in at a lightweight 156g and it is awaiting ROAR approval.

Kyle McBride takes win at Queens Cup

Melbourne in Australia played host to the Queens Cup last weekend, attracting some of the country’s fastest 1/8th off-road racers. In the Pro Nitro Buggy class it was Kyle McBride who dominated the proceedings, taking the TQ and a dominant win in the 45-minute A-main, some five laps in front of Max Ricca as Shane Kelly rounded out the top 3 results. Behind the three, Shane Smith and Gavin White would complete the top 5.

5th Annual Quebec Classic – Announcement

The 5th Annual Quebec Classic race will be held from the 23rd to 26th of August near Montréal in QC, Canada. The event will see the attendance of reigning IFMAR World Champion, David Ronnefalk and 2014 World Champ, Ty Tessmann and it will be held in 1/8th Nitro and Electric Buggy and Truggy classes, 40+ Nitro Buggy and E-Buggy categories as well as 1/10th 2WD, 4WD and Pro4 SC classes. Jose Felix wins at Portuguese IC Track Nats Rd3

Last weekend’s third round of the Portuguese IC Track Nationals held in Monsanto not only saw the win of Bruno Coelho in the 1/10th 200mm class but also Jose Felix sweeping the 1/8th Nitro category. After taking the TQ Jose was also able to score the fastest lap and win in front of Vasco Sousa. In 3rd Alexandre Pereira rounded out the podium result. The next round of the championship will be held on the 14th and 15th of July at the Associação Modelismo Vila Real track.

Sammy Moran double TQs & wins Mid Summer Shootout

The Pro-Line Mid Summer Shootout was held at Coyote Hobbies Indoor RC Raceway last weekend and it was TLR’s Sammy Moran that would sweep the ultra competitive 13.5 Wheeler and 17.5T Expert Buggy classes. Eliot Watson (Tekno) in 2nd and Wayne Wyrick (TLR) in 3rd would round out the 13.5T 4WD podium as the TLR duo of Ty Owings and Wayne Wyrick completed the 17.5T Expert Buggy podium.

Reds Racing announce updated Durabell clutch bells

Reds Racing have introduced their updated Durabell clutch bells that now feature a highly wear resistant silver surface treatment. The clutch bells are made of high quality steel and the special coating allows the teeth to last much longer. A special vented design also guarantees lower temperatures and cleaner shoes engagement for a longer life of both bell and clutch shoes. The clutch bell is available in 13 and 14 teeth version only and it is suitable for Kyosho, Mugen, TLR, Tekno, JQRacing, Xray, Team Associated, Hot Bodies, and Serpent kits.

Jared Tebo introduces new RC Rad brand

Former IFMAR World Champion, Jared Tebo has introduced his new RC Rad clothing brand. The first products available are the Shield Tee in navy and maroon colours that features the white and gold RC Rad logo. The screen-printed Next Level #3600 premium fitted shirts are available in adult S to 3XL sizes. Also new is the 1-size-fits-all Shield hat with a grey/black RC Rad logo. Jessica Palsson wins at South Swedish Cup Rd2

The city of Höör played host to round 2 of the South Swedish Cup last weekend. HB Racing’s Hampus Berg made a clean sweep in the qualifiers from Jessica Palsson (Kyosho), who suffered a bit from the aftermath of illness, however starting from the P2 spot onto the 30-minutes main final she still got all cards on the table for an even better result. In the end Jessica was able to bring home the win with a 23-seconds margin on 2nd placed Hampus Berg despite an extra fuel stop. HB Racing driver Oskar Levin rounded out the top 3 results.
