Team C Mini M-Chassis body shell

Team C Racing have introduced a new body shell for all Tamiya M-Chassis and similar M-class kits. Resembling the iconic Mini Cooper in wide arch specification, the lid is usable for most M-type 1/10th scale cars and it comes moulded from quality-grade polycarbonate.

Pucher wins at Austrian IC Track Nats Rd1

The opening round of the Austrian IC Track Nationals was held at the popular LAMAC track over the weekend. In the 1/8th Nitro A-main final the conditions were pretty challenging with a sudden thunderstorm at the 14-minute mark. For the safety of all competitors the race director decided to call the race a day and this handed then-leader Herfried Pucher the win in front of TQ holder Mihelic Nejc and Pascal Knöller in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Jarno Pijpers doubles at BuggyCup Rd2

The second round of the Dutch BuggyCup was held at the Mach One Helmond track this past weekend. In the Nitro Sportsman A-main TQ holder Jarno Pijpers (SWorkz/FX) started from the pit lane, however this did not stop him from bringing home a popular win despite a rain storm going down in the main final. Behind him, Rajco van der Sluijs (Tekno/Reds Racing) and Sander van Genechten (Xray/FX) came in 2nd and 3rd in the A-main final.

Yokomo YD-2S aluminium rear shock tower

Coming from Yokomo and made for the YD-2S RWD drift car kit is a new aluminium rear shock tower. The part offers a huge amount of possible mounting positions for both the shock absorbers and camber links, allowing to finely tune the suspension geometry for a range of track conditions and tyre specifications. The tower is known to work best with the recently introduced short lower arms and it is machined from high-quality aluminium and sports a black surface treatment with machined silver edge details.

Ari Heinonen wins Finnish Nitro Buggy Nats Rd1

Round 1 of 4 of this year’s Finnish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held in Turku in the South Western part of the country. Max Mört looked like the driver to beat in the Nitro Buggy class after taking a pretty dominant TQ, however problems in the semifinal meant he would miss the main final with Ari Heinonen (Mugen/Bullitt/JConcepts) taking profit of the situation, eventually winning the A-main from Joseph Quagraine (JQRacing/Reds Racing/JConcepts) 2nd and August Poutiainen (JQRacing/O.S./AKA) 3rd. Pekko Iivonen (JQRacing/SMJ/JConcepts) and Joonas Hyvärinen (JQRacing/SMJ/Pro-Line) rounded out the top 5 results.

Muchmore sign Surikarn Chaidajsuriya

Muchmore have announced the return of former IFMAR ISTC World Champion, Surikarn C. to their factory team. The Thai frontrunner leaves behind a rather fruitful stint with Hobbywing but starting immediately he will campaign Muchmore electronics to power his rides. Surikarn had the following to say about the deal:

I am so happy and thank you so much for give me an oportunity to be back on Team Much More again for 2018 and beyond. I’m already looking forward for the upcoming races and can’t wait to feel a Much More speed with a Team Much More equipment.

Mirko Salemi wins at Italian Shepherd Trophy

The 2018 Shepherd Trophy was held at the Racing Mini Car Fiorano track this past weekend. In the premier 1/8th Nitro class it was WRC Racing’s Mirko Salemi with the triple of pole position, fastest lap and win to round out a perfect weekend. Shepherd’s Marco Vanni ended the 30-minute main final a lap down while Serpent racer, Andrea Ciuriante rounded out the podium result in 3rd another two laps down. In the 1/10th class Alessandro Balboni took the win of the A-final in front of Michele Scaglioni and Alessandro Ciaccheri while in the 1/10th Formula category it was Alessandro Bianchi that came out fastest in front of Matteo Berlincioni and Daniel Conte.

Lucas Urbain takes win at French TC Nats Rd3

The Beaumont Monteux Voitures Radio Commandees club held a round of the French Electric On-road Nationals this past weekend and it was Awesomatix’s Lucas Urbain with the TQ and win in the Touring Modified class. Awesomatix teammate, Loic Jasmin would end the day on the 2 spot of the podium in front of Xray’s  Jérémy Limoges.
