Ryan Cavalieri takes 2018 ROAR Touring Modified title

The 2018 ROAR Electric Paved On-Road National Championships were held this weekend at Ft. Myers R/C Car Club in Cape Coral, Florida. Off-road ace, Ryan Cavalieri (Team Associated/Muchmore) arrived at this year’s nationals with hopes of adding another Modified Touring Car National Championship to his already impressive resume. In the premier Modified Touring Car class, Cavalieri went onto dominate qualifying by TQ’ing three of the four rounds to take the overall TQ honors. In A-main number one, Cavalieri drove flawless by leading every lap and taking the Win by over five seconds. A-main two would be more difficult as changing track conditions made racing extremely tough. Cavalieri remained calm while having great battles with teammates Rick Hohwart and Kevin Hebert throughout the intense 6-minute A-main. As the checkered flag waived, it was Cavalieri just edging out Hebert to take the win and the 2018 ROAR Modified Touring Car National Championship. Behind him, Keven Hebert (Team Associated/Reedy) took the runner-up spot while Xray/Maclan’s Julian Wong completed the podium result.
