French tire brand 6Mik have announced the signing of Alex Zanchettin as an official team driver for 2021. The Italian driver, and former Pro-Line racer, is a World Championship finalist, Italian Champion and multiple Padova race winner. On his new deal the TLR driver said, ‘I’m very happy to join 6Mik team for 2021 and beyonds. Its a great pleasure for me to work with Seb and his crew and I can’t wait to start the season with his amazing products. I’m sure his R/C passion and knowledge will make the difference.’
6mik have introduced their new Axium 4WD 1/10th buggy front tyre for artificial surfaces such as carpet and astroturf. The tyre uses the company’s Optimized Control Concept design with softer inner and harder outer carcass for improved steering precision in both low and high bite track conditions, depending on the mounting direction of the tyre. The tread makes use of rounded outer pins for great balance between steering aggressiveness and bite while the inner blocks ensure good traction. The tyre will become available in green soft and blue medium compound.
French company 6Mik soon have “indoor” variants of their Crunch 1/10th buggy tyres available. Following three outdoor compounds the pin tyres will also be released in a “harder” purple and “softer” blue compound aimed at racing on carpet, astroturf and artificial surfaces. Coming as 4WD front and 4WD/2WD rear tyre the tread sports medium-size pins and a pin-free sidewall for smooth cornering and less need to “cut” the tyres when running on grippy surfaces. The tyres come as rubber only or including foams or moulded inserts.
French company 6MIK have announced the release of their new larger diameter Fusion rim. Its new size allows an optimized pattern to the tire’s shape, without changing its overall diameter, with the width and thickness having been chosen after many tests to find the best compromise between a great corner speed, driving comfort and precision. These very light wheels, only 34grams, still including gluing lips to guarantee the best gluing security and its genuine curved pattern allows a more comfortable driving feeling on bumpy tracks, with a unique look too.
