Team Cayote USA Team Driver Roster

Team Cayote’s North American distributor AMain Hobbies has officially announced its 2025 US Team Driver Roster for the new electronics brand. Headlining the Team Cayote USA race team is 2-time IFMAR 1:10 Offroad World Champion Ryan Maifield and 31-time ROAR winner Dakotah Phend. Reigning 18-year-old 2WD IFMAR Offroad World Champion Tater Sontag along with 2024 JConcepts INS Series 4WD Champion Tom Rinderknecht and 2021 ROAR Mod Stadium Truck Champion Cole Tollard also are featured on the team. With representation throughout the United States, Team Cayote USA also includes 1:10 and 1:8 racers Frankie Contreras, Jr., Austin Cracknell, Spencer Heckert, Ethan Mackanick, Lee Setser, and Jonah Wilson. On the announcement AMain Hobbies CFO Kevin Kiser said, “I have been doing this for nearly 15 years now and I’ve never seen a race line come together quite as quickly as Team Cayote. EcoPower Aluminum Clamping Servo Horn

New from A-Main Hobbies is their high-strength EcoPower Aluminium Clamping Servo Horn available for use with their EcoPower servos as well as other 25T splined servos. This extremely tough servo horn has been machined from a solid block of aluminium for incredible precision, rigidity, and durability. The horn features a clamp type design that grips the servo’s output shaft so if the retainer screw comes loose, the horn will have a better chance of remaining in place.

AMain Hobbies to acquire Hobbytown

AMain Hobbies, the well known online retailer and hosts of the 2013 IFMAR 1:10 Offroad World Championship, has announced that it is to acquire the Hobbytown retail chain which has 106 retails stores across the United States. In a press release, the company founded by Kendall Bennett and which has supported many racers & races over the years, said, ‘AMain Hobbies is announcing an agreement in principle to the acquisition of HobbyTown, the largest hobby, specialty toy/game, and STEM retail chain in the World. The agreement, which includes the Lincoln, Nebraska headquarters and distribution center will begin later this summer. Combined with AMain Hobbies’ current distribution network, AMain will now have three strategically placed distribution centers to reach wholesale and retail customers with unprecedented speed. The combination of AMain Hobbies’ and HobbyTown’s industry experience, knowledge, and wealth of data will offer hobbyists an even wider product selection and modern retail shopping experience while making it easier and more profitable for stores to operate in the current economy.’

ProTek RC has released this Multi-Function Backpack for your 1:10 vehicles which is the perfect option for those looking to get out and enjoy their RCs, without having to balance everything or tote around a hauler bag. ProTek RC CR21 3-Port .21 Offroad Engine

ProTek RC has announced its new CR21 3-port .21 off-road engine with the same DNA as its highly successful Samurai engine line. The budget-friendly ProTek CR21 features a newly designed crankshaft to improve engine response and a lightweight piston that further assists with a crisp engine response on throttle input. The combustion chamber design optimises low to medium RPM ranges, perfect for newer racers, while still offering high performance output at high speeds for more experienced drivers. And it is easy to tune and stabilise with a 2-needle carburetor with 6mm and 7mm inserts available. An “EBIS” version of the ProTek RC CR21 is also available, featuring the engine break-in services of RC racing and industry legend Adam Drake.

EcoPower Electron 2S 800mAh LiPo receiver battery

AMain have expanded their range of EcoPower Electron LiPo battery packs by several softcase variants. Usable for RC car applications is the 2S 7.4V 800mAh 25C pack with JST connector that will make a lightweight receiver battery in many nitro applications. The pack measures 30×56.5x15mm an weighs in at 47g. An XH balancer port makes for safe recharging. The whole range including the many all-new packs can be found here.
