Avid B4 aluminium steering bellcranks

Avid B4 aluminium steering bellcranks are machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, black anodized, and laser etched for a premium look. Each package includes 1 left and 1 right bellcrank which replace the plastic servo saver and bellcrank on any B4, B4.1, T4, T4.1, and SC10. These aluminium bellcranks eliminate flex in the steering system for maximum steering feel. They also eliminate the plastic servo saver which can fail and cause DNFs. Associated ace Ryan Maifield installed the Avid bellcranks on his B4 and went on to take the win at the Winter Midwest Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

Kurt Wenger partners with Avid

After 9 years at Team Associated developing World championship products, Kurt Wenger has decided to branch out on his own to create parts and accessories that will change the pace of development in the R/C industry. His new mission is to focus on research and development of cutting edge, value-based 10th and 8th scale products that will enhance the racing experience for avid RC enthusiasts. With 6 IFMAR World Championships under his belt, lead engineer Kurt “Coach” Wenger is taking his unique and unparalleled R/C experience into a new endeavor. After making the decision to move from a traditional desk job at Associated to developing a new product line he reached out to David Joor of Avid Racing Concepts, who is an expert in e-commerce web solutions as well as an accomplished racer. David has been successfully building the Avid brand for 8 years and was looking for a way to expand his business. Kurt and David decided to create the perfect partnership by adding a world champion product engineer to the world championship Avid brand. Expect the first results of this partnership to be released later this month.

Avid RC Slip & Slide lubricants

Avid RC have announced that after scrutinizing development their Slip and Slide lubricants are now available. Avid Slip Bearing Oil is a Teflon based oil designed to reduce metal on metal wear by reducing friction and will remove dirt while displacing other moisture to add protection from rust. Avid Slide Bearing Grease comes in a 12cc syringe with a curved tip to allow for a very controlled application. Avid Ceramic & steel engine bearings

Avid have released ceramic & steel engine bearings, which offer the maximum performance and reliability to your racing engine at an unbeatable price. The bearing specs are Abec5, G3 Si3N4 ceramic balls, PA66 with 30 glass fiber cage, and chrome steel 52100 rings and it has no seals to allow for proper lubrication from the oil in your fuel. A ceramic engine bearing can allow most RC engines to spin an extra 500 rpm with less drag and the life of the bearing is far greater over a steel bearing. Avid RC Xray 808 Revolution bearing

Avid RC are proud to announce the release of the Avid 5x12x4 Revolution bearing for the Xray 808 1/8th scale buggy clutch. What makes this bearing unique is that it has a rubber seal on one side while having a metal shield on the other. Rubber seals are great protectors against dirt but they offer a little more friction due to the tighter seal and thats why these bearings only use one. Xray choose a larger bearing for their new buggy to withstand the load and in doing so they actually made this bearing specific for RC, meaning that nothing else in the world uses this size. Typically this means that the bearing will cost more, however Avid are keeping their industry changing price point of just $1.

Travis Amezcua joins Hot Bodies
