Byron Originals discontinues Byron Fuels brand

Iowa-based manufacturer Byron Originals, Inc. has announced that the company will be ending production and discontinuing their Byron Fuels brand after 32 years of operation in the RC fuels industry. Over the last decade, demand for RC nitro fuel has significantly declined due to industry and consumer-related factors. Production will officially end in late May, and the brand will be retired when the remaining product inventory is sold.

Lee Martin joins Byron Fuels

European Champion Lee Martin has added Byron Fuels to his 1/8th package as he looks to step up his racing with his new factory Mugen drive for the 2012 season. With so many fuels on the market it can become a minefield as to what to select. But with Byron Fuels outstanding reliability, performance and engine protection the choice became a simple one for Lee, allowing him more time to spend on chassis tuning rather than engine set-up.

Byron Fuels continues to confirm its 2011 team with the announcement that Ty Tessmann is continuing his representation of Byron Race Gen2. When asked, Ty had this to say about his association with Byron Fuels, “I am looking forward to another successful year running Byron Fuels. After a short away, Andrew Smolnik is back to Byron Fuels for 2011 to run their Race Gen2. Andrew will continue to drive Agama and will continue his affiliations with VP Pro, Airtronics, Avid Bearings and Protek. When asked about his new fuel of choice, Andrew stated, “I am excited for the opportunity to once again race for Byron Fuels. I believe in the product and the people behind the company. It is sure to be a winning combination.”

Byron Fuels have announced that Durango factory driver Ryan Lutz has re-signed to the Byron Fuels Team. When asked his opinion of Byron Fuel performance, Ryan stated, “I am very excited to be signing on with Byron Fuels for another year. I love how the fuel is always consistent no matter where I race around the globe. When I open a bottle I know what I’m getting and how it’s going to perform. Mark Green to run Byron fuel

CML have announced that multiple British Champion, European and World finalist Mark Green has chosen Byron Gen2 as his fuel of choice for 2011. The Factory Serpent team driver will use Gen2 in both 1/8th and 1/10th 200mm nitro circuit classes in a move that further rubber stamps Byron as one of the Worlds leading fuels, having previously secured the 1/8 IFMAR World Championship title in Thailand in November.
