Coming from Darkside Designs are several new carbon fibre optionals for the Yokomo YZ4-SF buggy. First up is an O-ring battery hold down that does away with the need for screws and wrenches to change out the battery. Cut out of 3mm carbon fibre the set also includes an O-ring and black hardware. Next up are front and rear flex spines. They are cut out of 3mm carbon with added slots to increase flex. The parts are a direct fit and they are available separately. Last but not least is a floating ESC mount with flex spine that lets the ESC mount float just above the chassis, adding another area for increased flex. The speed controller mounting surface is pocketed to reduce weight and lower the speedo closer to the chassis and the set includes all needed hardware.
Darkside Designs have introduced new carbon fibre option parts for the Team Associated B74 buggy. First up is an O-ring battery hold down that features a carbon fibre battery locator cut from 3mm high-quality carbon fibre. An O-ring battery retainer ensures quick battery swaps and less influence on chassis tweak. Using the hold down system requires cutting the battery strap posts to the low pro location or lower depending on pack thickness.
Darkside Designs have announced the release of their new +4mm “Rayls” carbon fibre front shock tower for the Team Associated B6.1 buggy. Designed for large, rough outdoor tracks the tower will also improve landing after huge jumps thanks to utilising kit 21mm front shock shafts and optional 27.5mm shock bodies. The tower is cut from high-quality carbon fibre and it also features optional in-between upper shock mount locations.
Darkside Designs have introduced new carbon fibre option parts for the Team Associated B6.1 buggy in the form of a B6.1D +2mm front shock tower, a rear body support and a slipper and tie-rod wrench. Starting with the front shock tower, the part is of a +2mm design for the use with the AE91617 shock shafts or 2mm unscrewed eyelets. In addition to allowing for an increased shock length the shock stay also offers in-between shock mount holes. Also new and usable for all B6.1 variants is a carbon fibre rear body support. It helps keeping the rear of the body in position by allowing the lid to rest on the support plate. The item will be attached to the rear shock tower and it is cut from high-quality carbon fibre. Last but not least comes the slipper and tie-rod wrench for all AE 6.1 series vehicles. The tool allows for easy camber link and slipper clutch adjustment.
Coming from Darkside Designs are new carbon fibre shock towers for the Yokomo YZ-2 and the Kyosho RT6. Starting with the Yokomo-related shock stay, the short turf/carpet rear tower was developed for the use with YZ-2T front shock bodies and it is made of 4mm carbon fibre. Using the shock tower will lower the overall centre of gravity for quicker cornering in high-bite track conditions.

The carbon fibre battery locators utilise sturdy rubber O-rings to keep the battery pack in place with the overall design scrubbing about 4.6g of weight compared to the standard mount, making it ideal for all weight-saving 17.5T racers. The kit includes gold-colour hardware and it is available now.
Darkside Motorsports have announced that they are selling their 1/10th scale Oval Setup wheels, which like the Team Tamale wheels, offer the option of adjusting the virtual tire diameter by rotating the Octagonal wheel to the specified measurement.
They simulate eight different tire diameters from 2.31″ to 2.10″.Â Use these wheels to measure and adjust chassis ride height, track width, wheel offsets and stagger.Â When matched with a set of tweak scales, weight distribution can also be simulated and slight changes can be modeled with ease.Â The wheels are matched such that wheelbase dimensions can also be easily measured.Â Simply put, they provide a foundation for repeatable measurements and set-ups.Â Each set comes with 2 front wheels, 2 rear wheels and a re-usable storage case.
