Designed by Tekno RC and tested in Southern California this is the first true universal driveshaft system available for the beast that is the Baja 5B. CNC machined out of high grade steel, then hardened and black oxidized for improved durability and wear they are completely rebuildable with replacement parts sold separately.

Coming soon from Hot Bodies are several new option parts for the TCX 1/10 scale electric touring car chassis. The longer lightweight Solid Axle Long Cup fit the front differential or spool allowing racers to use the 44mm driveshaft instead of the 46mm driveshaft. Also new are the Universal Axle Pin Cover, purple anodised aluminium collars that replace the set screw in the universal axle for a quicker rebuild and increased durability. The collar surrounds the pin and prevents it from slipping out. The part also suits the Cyclone line of touring cars. Last but not least Hot Bodies have new 6-hole 1.1mm Teflon shock pistons available. They come as a pair and also include 6.2x3x2mm spacers and shock rod guide, both made from PTFE.

HPI China have also announced the signing of JJ Wang to their Racing Team. The 13 year old Chinese-American, who now lives in Shanghai, China has become the best 1:8 GP on-road driver in the country. His versatile talent is not limited to 1:8 GP only, as he has also shown pace in the 1:10 GP and EP class. He will race with HB TCX in future races and is “excited to join the HPI/HB Racing Team this season. And now with the support of HPI/HB, I hope to join more international races. With the new TCX, I also hope to have a successful season”.

HPI China has announced the signing of Haifeng Wang to their racing team. Wang is the indisputable top EP on-road driver in China. Starting his RC life in 2005, Wang achieved astonishing progress, not only by racing talent but also through hard work. He undertook all National 1:10 EP Onroad Championship event (TQ and win) from 2007 to 2010 and became a star of the industry. In 2009 Wang challenged himself by joining the 4WD GT Class at the Tamiya Asia Cup and took the TQ & win without problem. In 2011, he again embraced his reputation by top qualifying and winning the 11.5T Stock Class at the TITC. Wang will now continue his story at HPI & Hot Bodies.

Exotek Racing release an alloy steering brace for Losi’s XXX-series of buggies and trucks and an upgrade chassis for an old school favourite, the HPI Pro4. The steering brace reduces the flex in the steering cranks by bracing the steering mount and eliminating the unwanted flex created by the plastic front bulkhead.
