Kyosho have announced the release of the new M-size front shock tower for their Inferno MP9 buggy. Designed to suit the European tracks more, it can help to increase the handling of the car over ruts and rocks as well as fast corners depending on the track layout. Made to be used with Kyosho’s M-size length Big Bore shocks the shock tower will increase the possible droop of the front wishbones which adds more options for the setup of the car.

The exciting category of short-course truck racing is now an officially sanctioned racing class and is becoming increasingly popular in Europe and Japan as well. Compatible with ROAR racing regulations, the Ultima SC-R kit is fully equipped with a range of high performance optional parts for a racing edge right from the start and at a great value. Similar in size to a 1/8-class model, the lightweight finish weighs in at only 2,000g. The Ultima SC-R SP is available in December.

Kyosho Japan have released information on their upcoming Plazma Ra 1/12 scale pan car chassis. Named after the iconic line of Plazma on-road chassis’, the new addition that will hit the stores at the end of December 2011 is a rather conventional affair designed around the common 1S LiPo battery with rear link suspension, side damper tubes and is made for standard US-type wheels. The red anodised aluminium parts are standard as is the oil-filled centre shock absorber.

Kyosho Mini-Z ZX-5 FS & Optima buggies

Having previously released some teaser shots of their new Mini-Z Optima buggy last month, Kyosho have today released full information on these palm sized buggies as well as introduced a Lazer ZX-5 FS version. Both cars are shaft driven mid motored 4wds and sport independent double wishbone suspension, 4 oil filled shocks, 2 gear diffs and a slipper clutch with the chassis having a 10 degree kick up on the front. A standard Mini-Z motor powers the buggy and the ESC can be adjusted by connecting it to a PC. The car also sports a chassis mounted gyro to make the car easier to drive by helping to correct the steering and throttle. It also comes with the awesome Tiki Tiki mode that allows a preset amount of full power boosts for great battles with your friends. The new Mini-Z buggies will be released in November of this year with or without transmitter.

Just in time for the indoor season, X-Power has stepped into the 1:28 scale market with several new optional parts for Mini Z AWD and MR-03. X-Power’s optional parts will be made with 7075-T6 Aluminum for maximum durability with low weight & anodized in Red for a striking trick look. New parts include a ball differential for both the AWD and the MR-03 as well as AWD front suspension cover, AWD center shaft mounts, DWS shock stay and finally a range of shock springs for fine tuning the car’s setup.

DnM 1/10 scale v2.0 clutch system

DnM release the version 2.0 of their clutch system for 1/10 scale 200mm nitro chassis. The updated clutch offers a more linear power supply, smoother engagement and comes with a hard anodised flywheel and pressure plate for enhanced durability. Available for Xray NT1 and Kyosho R-series chassis such as the V-OneRRR and R4.

Sneak Peek – Kyosho Mini-Z Optima

Kyosho released first vague information on their upcoming Mini-Z MB-010 Optima 2.4GHz micro racer. Resembling the iconic vintage 1/10 scale 4WD Optima, the Mini-Z offering will feature a 4WD drive train, oil-filled shock absorbers, makes use of AAA-size batteries and comes including a 2.4GHz radio system. The japanese company will release more detailed information with the beginning of September and plans a public release in November 2011.

Kyosho have updated the Inferno ST with further enhancements to create the most powerful version yet in the form of the Inferno ST RR EVO. The RR EVO adds the small diameter flywheel adopted from the 1/8 Buggy World Champion Inferno MP9, strengthened straight cut bevel gears and dial-adjustable big bore shocks for precision setting. The newly designed body combines a low profile form and forward cabin with the MP9’s rear wing to produce sure-footed rear grip and superior maneuverability. Expect a September release.
