Team Associated and LRP to work independently

Team Associated and LRP today announced jointly that Associated will no longer be selling and servicing the LRP brand in North America. Associated has supported the LRP brand in North America for over 18 years and the two brands have achieved great success with many IFMAR World Championships together during this partnership. See below for the remainder of the announcement.

With both brands expanding and their respective product lines overlapping, both sides felt the timing was right to work independently, but still continue a racing partnership. Associated will now fully focus on developing and promoting the Reedy brand in all markets. Reedy develops products in the electric motor, nitro engine, battery, charger and speed control categories. LRP will expand its presence in North America by establishing LRP America, Inc. in Southern California. LRP America will provide marketing, service, and race support for a broadened product range in North America. LRP America will begin serving North America on September 1, 2013.

LRP S8 Rebel BX RTR Limited Edition

LRP introduce the S8 Rebel BX RTR Limited Edition 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. Coming factory-assembled and including a 2.4GHz radio system the new variant sports a couple of option parts such as full aluminium big bore shock absorbers and a widely adjustable suspension with R/L turnbuckles for quick and easy setup changes. Also included in the kit are CV-type front drive shafts for increased transmission efficiency and a polished LRP aluminium exhaust pipe for increased power output.

LRP S10 Twister motor plate & steel gears

Designed for the S10 Twister range of cars are LRP’s new machined aluminium motor mount plate and the steel transmission gear set. Starting with the motor plate, the part is CNC-machined from 7075 aluminium, comes blue anodised and with machined recessions to lower the parts’ weight. The design makes for added rigidity of the motor and transmission area while offering additional cooling when using high-performance brushless motors. The second new part is the steel transmission gear set for the Twister range. Included in the set are a metal input, idler and differential gear as well as a composite material gear diff cover. The parts offer increased durability and are ideal when using low turn brushless setups. Both the motor plate and the gear set are usable in the S10 Twister buggy, truggy and short course truck.

LRP VTEC G32 tires

LRP VTEC G32 tyres

Based off their VTEC 30X tires, LRP’s new VTEC G32 are the result of ongoing development of their touring car tire. Featuring a completely new rubber compound the results show improved traction and increased durability. Pre-glued, the set consists of the controlled tires, controlled rims with improved material and shape and controlled white inserts, which are perfectly mounted and glued and sold in a set of four.

LRP VTEC G32 pre-mounted TC tyres

LRP introduce their new VTEC G32 asphalt touring car tyre. It marks the next evolution step of the X30 and comes mounted on a redesigned rim that is made from a new shock-resistant material for vibration free and true running. Available in sets of four the pre-glued wheels include LRP’s white insert and are the handout tyres for the 2013 German championships and the outdoor season of the LRP-HPI-Challenge.

Piotr Okonski joins LRP International team

LRP have announced that top Polish racer Piotr Okonski has joined their international race team. The 6-time Polish National Champion will run the complete line of LRP electronics including the Flow Works Team ESC, X20 Motors and Competition line of batteries in both his onroad an offroad cars. Piotr will compete this season in the National series as well as the majority of the ETS series and other major races.

LRP Quadra V.1 charger & LiPo packs

LRP introduce the Quadra Competition V.1 charger and new hard case LiPo battery packs. Starting with the charger, the Quadra Competition V.1 is designed for the stationary use with the integrated power supply or at the track using 12V input. The charger offers up to 10A charge and 5A discharge current, fills 1S to 6S LiPo and 1 to 14 cell LiXX battery packs and offers several charge programs including balancing and storage charging. Featuring a back-lit display and four foil-covered buttons the V.1 is also updatable using the integrated USB interface. Also new is an updated line of competition hard case LiPo battery packs. Available are several 2S and a 1S pack build from 80C/40C up to 110C/55C cells making them ideal for 1/12th to 1/8th scale applications. The capacities available range from 4500mAh with the 2S ‘shorty’ pack up to 7200mAh with the 2S offerings. They come in protective semi-transparent cases and with 4mm bullet-type tube connectors and 2mm balancer ports.
