Serpent have announced the release of their latest 3.5cc Mega engine, the ZX21 DSII+ EM, which features internal work done by engine master Eduardo Picco. The crankshaft has been lightened, and filled with red silicone, while the 7+2 port liner has been worked with tear dropping done on some of the ports to optimise fuel flow and improve performance. Each engine uses hand selected parts including the conrod and piston liner, and all have been had assembled by Eduardo himself.

New Mega polished exhaust system

Serpent have released this EFRA approved Mega polished exhaust system for use with your 3.5cc Mega MF or ZX engines. Featuring great fuel economy, this pipe has a lot of bottom and top end power and is best suited for use on high-speed tracks. The pipe set comes complete with the polished conical T5 manifold, which is the best manifold for this pipe, while the top of the pipe features the Mega logo laser etched into it. The pipe set is sold complete with rubber seal and mounting springs.

Mega MF21 OFR 5P buggy engine

Serpent have announced the release of their latest Mega motor, which is the first Mega buggy engine to be released that uses the Novarossi based Massimo Fantini made engine. The Mega MF21 OFR 5P 3.5cc engine is a top of the line buggy engine which as the name suggests has a 5 port liner and also features a lightened and hard coated crankshaft with a large turbo scoop. The motor itself uses a non turbo plug, has a large cooling head and the front bearing uses a rubber seal to prevent dirt getting into the motor from behind the flywheel.

Mega MF12 3P MasMo Ceramic IFMAR

Yesterday we wrote about the new 9 port Mega MF21 Nine being released by Serpent and today its the turn of the upgraded Mega MF12. This new Mega MF12 3P MasMo Ceramic IFMAR is based on the previous MF12 but due to the new EFRA rules regarding the crankshaft, this motor has been upgraded and now comes with a new IFMAR / EFRA ’07 legal crankshaft with huge turbo scoop. As this engine is the hand tuned version it also sports hand tuning work by Massimo Fantini on the inside of the casing, the liner and on the crankshaft as well as sporting ceramic bearings throughout.

Mega MF21 Nine MasMo Ceramic

Serpent have just announced the release of their new 9 port, top of the line, 3.5cc engine for 1/8th scale on road called the Mega MF21 Nine MasMo Ceramic. This engine is a top of the line hand tuned engine and sports ceramic bearings, 9 port hand tuned liner as well as a hand tuned lightened crankshaft. While the inside of this Novarossi based engine is completely different, the only external difference on the engine is the new cooling head that sports a new fin design.

Serpent release Mega ZX21 DSII+

Mega ZX21 DSII+

Serpent have released the updated version of their ZX21 DSII, the DSII+. Featuring and updated combustion chamber and piston, the new motor allows more consistent tuning as well better reving thanks to the smaller contact between the piston and the liner. The engine has the same part number as the previous DSII and is available now.
