Novak Premium Balistic spec motors & options

Novak have announced three new Premium Ballistic spec brushless motors in 10.5T, 13.5T and 17.5T. These exciting new motors feature all of Novak’s most sought after racing components such as the red wire stator and the vented end bells with ceramic bearings, these motors hold nothing back. Novak also release the Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) Tuning Rotor which was developed to withstand extremely high temperatures. Novak developed this rotor to retain its core magnet strength over the course of the run so that your motor runs consistently and will not suffer from fade. Braking and throttle response is also more consistent. Finally there is premium Ballistic 540 Red Wire stators which are compatible with Novak’s Ballistic 540-size motors, and are wound exclusively at the Novak factory in Irvine, California by highly trained motor technicians. Three winds are available, 10.5T, 13.5T and 17.5T.

Novak have introduced the newest answer to the call of top level racers, red wire stators. These stators are compatible with Novak’s Ballistic 540 motors, and are wound exclusively at the Novak factory in Irvine California by highly-trained motor technicians. Available in 10.5T, 13.5T and 17.5T, each hand-wound stator goes through several quality control checks, as well as testing steps to ensure it will provide the level of performance the serious racer is looking for.

Novak Havoc Pro SC with X-Drive

Novak is excited to announce its newly-developed speed control technology called Novak X-Drive. This ultra-efficient brushless motor firing technology has been added to all Novak Havoc Pro SC Brushless ESC. This new update significantly improves the throttle feel and response and it also reduces the ESC’s operating temperatures for more efficient operation. Team drivers, test drivers and customers who have run the Havoc Pro SC with X-Drive in side-by-side comparisons to their original ESC have all noticed an incredibly smooth feel, improved drivability, lower temperatures, and overall higher performance resulting in faster lap times and longer run times.

Novak Diablo dual battery brushless system

Team Novak introduce the Diablo dual battery brushless system for monster trucks such as the Traxxas E-Maxx or HPI Savage that make use of dual battery power. The 550-size motor and speed controller are designed from the ground up to run from two 2S or 6-cell NiMH batteries as found in 1/10 scale vehicles. The controller features Novak’s own Bash Boost technology that boosts the performance of the motor by advancing the timing at a certain RPM and throttle position. The sensored 550-size motor sports a 5mm shaft and a one-piece, multi-pole sintered Neodymium magnet.

Novak’s new Ballistic 540 Vented end bells & bearing racing upgrade kit includes everything needed for this performance update. Both the rear and front end bells have machined cooling vents which allows excess heat to escape, resulting in cooler temperatures and higher motor performance. Additionally, the front end bell has a precisely installed ball bearing. This upgrade kit is compatible with all Novak Ballistic 540 Brushless motors.

Having written about the new Ballistic 8 and Ballistic 8L brushless motors from Novak back in January, the Irvine California based company have shown of images of the final product. Designed to fit into 1/8th scale buggies truggies and monster trucks, these 550 size motors offer plenty of power with the long version providing even more torque. Novak is also developing a compatible speed control called the Kinetic 8 Racing Sensored Brushless ESC. More information will be announced for this new ESC as it becomes available.

Novak Ballistic 550 Hi-Torque 4.5T motor

Novak is introducing a high-torque version of its popular Ballistic 550 motor. The Ballistic 550 Hi-Torque brushless 4.5T motor includes Novak’s larger diameter 14mm tuning rotor for a higher temperature threshold, higher torque and lower Kv. This combination is perfect for 4×4 Short Course trucks and offers drivers a different feel and response from their motor. This system will be available in May.
