Fantom Racing Octane Pro Drag Series LiPo packs

Fantom Racing have introduced their new Octane Pro Drag Series LiPo battery packs. The batteries feature modified chemistry that produces the ultimate combination of power, capacity, and low resistance and they were developed for the extreme demands of pro-level drag racing, where horsepower and low internal resistance is critical. Produced with premium Japanese materials the packs come with 8 gauge premium high-amp wire, they include a detailed instruction sheet and come in five different models and in 1S, 2S or 3S configuration.

Roche 1S LiPo competition battery packs

Roche have introduced their new 2019 competition 1S LiPo battery packs for 1/12th scale applications. Available as 8100mAh 3.7V standard and 8000mAh 3.8V LiHV variant, both packs are built from highest quality 110C cells and they come in protective hardcases with 5mm bullet-type connectors. The packs are built to meet ROAR and BRCA rules and they will hot stores soon.

Yokomo YZ-2DTM2 Stock Spec 2WD buggy kit

Coming in January 2019 is Yokomo’s new YZ-2DTM2 Stock Spec 1/10th scale 2WD buggy kit. Based on the successful YZ-2DTM2 the Stock Spec version includes some handy stock motor class specific option parts such as the MIP Pucks drive system, MIP Pucks Bi-metal driveshafts, as well as a direct drive spur gear hub and top shaft. The Pucks drive system and dog bones will ensure a lightweight yet durable drivetrain while the direct drive slipper eliminator reduces the drivetrain’s rotational mass for quicker spool-up, faster acceleration and less motor heat. The kit will hit stores in January.

Blitz M49 M-class body shell

Coming from Blitz is the M49 body shell for 225mm wheelbase M-class cars. The 1940’s American style car brings a totally different look to Tamiya M-chassis and similar cars with the included rear wing also pleasing performance-oriented racers. The hot rod body shell comes in lightweight 0.8mm thickness and including window masks and a decal sheet.

Jared Tebo departs Kyosho

After fulfilling a second five-year stint with Kyosho as an International Team driver, Jared Tebo after ten years, will be retiring from the Kyosho Team. Jared got his start in 1:8 nitro off-road racing with Kyosho back in 2004, taking victories in most of the major events during that season. He moved to another brand for a few years, and then came back to Kyosho in 2009, just in time for the release of the MP9 on the nitro side, and during the reign of the RB5 and ZX5 electric buggies in the 1:10-scale categories, and the RT and SC trucks. Over the past ten years Jared amassed eight ROAR National Championships in the electric categories along with a total of 26 podium finishes. In IFMAR competition, Jared notched a World Championship title for the Ultima RB6, a podium finish behind the win of Cody King in Thailand in 2010, and total of five podiums in IFMAR competition. His former team states:

Infinity IF18 hard suspension parts

In preparation for the 2019 season, Infinity has released a selection of new “hard” suspension parts for its World Championship winning IF18. Made from harder material than the standard kit parts, drivers can avail of front & rear suspension arms and a front suspension holder in the new material. The new parts greatly reduce flex which in the front arm gives the benefit of increased response at high speed and improved consistency in high grip and high temperature conditions. The harder rear arm brings an increase in rear traction along with also improving consistency in high grip and high temperature conditions. Creating the same reduced flex and improved consistency, the front suspension holder also offers an extra set-up option between the standard mount and the optional Aluminium Version providing a slightly milder feeling then that of the aluminium option.
