Tamiya GF-01/G6-01 alloy front skid guard

Coming soon from Tamiya and made for the GF-01 and G6-01 truck kits is an aluminium front skid guard set. The three-piece construction was designed to replace the standard plastic items in favour of a much more solid assembly. The skid plate angle of 40 degrees ensures a smooth ride over bumps and obstacles while minimising interference with the terrain. Included in the set, that will hit stores from mid-June, is also suitable hardware.

WRC Racing F18 aluminium chassis & pod plate

WRC Racing have introduced a new aluminium chassis and lower pod plate for the F18 formula pan car. The parts are machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminium and they come black anodised for wear and looks and laser-engraved graphics further up the visual appearance of the items. Excessive machining under the battery area ensures optimised flex characteristics for high to very high bite traction conditions. Both the chassis and rear lower pod plate are machined from 2mm material and they are available separately from now on.

Sanwa M17 radio system – Teaser image

Mibosport from the Czech Republic have released a first teaser image of Sanwa’s forthcoming M17 Ultra Response System transmitter. The radio will be officially introduced on the 10th of May with the teaser giving a first taste of what to expect from Sanwa’s all-new high-end transmitter.

Xray XB4 aluminium 2-hole steering plate

Xray have introduced a new aluminium 2-hole steering plate for the XB4 buggy. Machined from Swiss 7075-T6 aluminium and coming black anodised for wear and looks the plate was designed for the use in high-traction conditions as it increased steering precision and predictability.

Futaba HPS CB700 high performance brushless servo

Futaba’s Hideo Kitazawa has released a first image and brief information on the company’s new HPS series CB700 high-performance brushless servo. The high-response servo is of (near) standard 40.5 x 21 x 37.7 mm dimensions, however it will offer up to 49kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.07s. at 7.4V input. At the same time the newly designed all-alloy servo will offer low power consumption, making for longer runtimes and also lower operation temperatures, thanks to the HPS motor technology, for greater durability. The CB700 name comes from Futaba’s new classification system with “C” standing for Car applications, “B” indicating a dedicated off-road buggy servo, and “7” is for the new 21mm series. Arrowmax have introduced their new 14.8V 6750mAh LiPo battery pack for 1/8th off-road applications. The use of high-capacity 110C burst cells ensures maximised run-time, allowing to easily manage +8 minute mains, while the low resistance of the cells ensures exceptional power supply even with high kV motors. The hardcase battery weighs in at 534g and offers a standard dual 2S pack footprint, making it usable with most 1/8th electric off-road kits. Included in the package is a suitable balance harness with 5mm bullet-type connectors and a high-impact resistant 10mm foam pad that protects the battery when when the going gets tough.

Hiro Seiko XeRun V10 G2 alloy screw kit

Coming from Hiro Seiko is a new aluminium screw kit for the Hobbywing XeRun V10 G2 electric brushless motors. Usable on the V10 G2 and Bandit motors the fasteners will not interfere with the rotor’s magnetic field, as the standard steel screws do, for overall higher RPM and improved performance. The set contains can and endbell screws machined from high-quality material and it is available in blue, light blue, purple, red, orange and silver colour.

PSM T4’18 front & rear shock towers

PSM have introduced their new front and rear carbon fibre shock towers for the Xray T4’18 touring car. Both are cut from 4mm carbon fibre with the stronger material making for a more rigid construction while the +1mm shock alignment improves the linear shock performance under all track conditions. The towers are cut from high-quality carbon fibre and they are available separately from now on.
