Kyosho Inferno GT3 1/8th nitro on-road kit

Kyosho have released first information on their forthcoming Inferno GT3 1/8th nitro on-road kit. Developed for the ever growing 1/8th GT class, the vehicle is based off of the successful Inferno MP9 TKI4 off-road platform and it is the follow-up model to the long-running and ageing GT2 kit. The kit will feature aluminium big bore shock absorbers and alloy shock stays for improved handling while significantly lighter differential make for quicker acceleration and improved mileage. The suspension components are understood to be taken over from the TKI4 as well while the proven 2-speed gearbox is a reminiscence to the GT2. Also new is a large yet light bumper assembly while the body mounts allow for forward or rearward mounting positions. All that is attached to a redesigned chassis with optimise flex characteristics and weight distribution. The car can be outfitted with select MP9-series option parts and it will hit stores in July.

THR B6 under LiPo weight, bulkhead shims & thumb nuts

UK brand THR has introduced three new option parts for the Team Associated B6 series of 2WD buggies. First up is a tuneable under LiPo weight that allows for easy and swift weight gain in a 40g to 70g range by simply removing or adding three separate weight inserts. Cut from stainless steel the weight measured an overall 53x87x2mm and it is a drop-fit for the B6’s battery compartment. While adding or removing weight, the design also makes weight bias adjustments easy courtesy of the placement of the inserts within the frame. The weight can also be used in the Yokomo YZ-2 buggy with a special version for the Schumacher Cougar KD and KC being in the making too.

Traxxas TRX-4 scale & trail crawler

Following first teaser images Traxxas have released more information on their new TRX-4 1/10th 4WD scale and trail crawler. The vehicle will utilise a rigid steel frame chassis for minimised chassis flex while front and rear portal axles maximise ground clearance and minimise unwanted torque twist. The portal axles also raise the axle link mounts and centre driveshafts for even greater clearance and they are equipped with remote locking differentials that are controllable via the transmitter. Part of the drivetrain is a hi/low range transmission, again controllable via the transmitter, while a metal gear digital steering servo and full waterproof treatment of the whole vehicle make for go everywhere capabilities. The kit will be rounded out by a replica Land Rover Defender bodyshell and 1.9″ Canyon trail tyres and it will hit stores about mid-May.
