1up Racing B7 CF1 -2mm Shock Towers

New from American option parts & accessories brand 1up Racing come these CF1 -2mm Shock Towers for the Team Associated B7 1:10 2WD Buggy. Engineered for high-grip tracks, they lower the shock mounting position by 2mm resulting in a lower centre of gravity that results in a noticeably quicker steering response and improved corner speed. CNC-machined in the United States from 4mm thick carbon fibre, the towers feature tri-level styling for a sleek, aggressive look. The towers are finished with a stylish engraved 1up logo and -2 marking.

PowerStar Digital Engine Pressure Gauge

New from Powerstar comes this Digital Engine Pressure Gauge. Used to check your engine’s cylinder pressure, you can document your engine wear and find potential problems with reliability or performance within seconds. The pressure gauge will fit any RC nitro engine via the glowplug location at the top of the piston. The gauge is powered by 2x AAA batteries.

Mugen Seiki MTC3 Updated Motor Mount

Mugen Seiki has announced an updated motor mount for its recently released MTC3 1:10 Electric Touring Car. Having found with the original mount that the gear ratio settings are extremely limiting due to the difference in the shape of the motor used they have produced the updated mount that allows the motor to be closer to the spur gear. The updated ‘B’ mount can be -6T with total teeth of pinion+spur compared to the original. The Japanese manufacturer is offering a motor mount exchange program for MTC3 owners. In announcing the new motor mount Mugen Seiki has also released new 1.1×4 pistons that are intended for track that have higher grip or bumpier surfaces.

MXLR Turbo Fan Style Steering Wheel

New from Max Machler’s MXLR brand comes this Turbo Fan Style Steering Wheel for the Sanwa M17, MT-5, and MT-R transmitters. Wheels are a big thing in car design, not only for performance reasons, they are also a major part of the design and in many cases forever remembered in combination with the legacy of famous racing cars. The MXLR Turbo Fan Style Steering wheel is a homage to the legendary winning car of the 24h Race in 1982. The steering wheel has the original dimensions of the standard Sanwa M17 steering wheel and is suitable for all versions of the following Sanwa Transmitters – M17, M12, MT-4, MT-44, MT-5, MT-R and MT-S. While no foam not included, you can just swap your current foam onto the new wheel. Depending on the “grip” of your steering wheel foam it’s recommended to use a thin double sided tape to secure the foam on the wheel.

1up Racing TC8 Bumper Brace | UltraLite Body Support

Adding to its line of optionals for the Team Associated TC8, 1up Racing has released a Front Bumper Brace and UltraLite Front Body Support for the 1:10 Electric Touring Car. Made in the USA from carbon fibre, the Front Bumper Brace & Body Mount Plate adds both form and function to the TC8. It also adds a second set of body mount locations, spaced further apart to move your posts away from pesky hood ribs or to better suit the shape of your body. Matching the style of the 1up Racing Rear Vertical Plate, the front version features the same dual-level design. This plate accepts the original body posts included in the TC8 kit. The Front Body Support braces the hood area of your super light weight bodies to keep the structural integrity intact for consistent aero and downforce at high speeds. The design of the 1up Body Support features racy, goose-neck wing inspired styling while having minimal influence on chassis flex. It’s easy to install with just two screws into the front bulkhead, on top of the upper bumper plate. Then, install the included lightweight M2.5 Pro Duty Titanium Screw and set the height to just touch the underside of the hood when the body is at correct race-ready height.

Wood wins BRCA Nationals Round 5 at Wombwell

Shepherd’s Tim Wood has won the fifth round of the BRCA 1:8 Onroad British National Championship at Wombwell, ending defending Champion Alex Thurston’s recent run of wins. Winner of the season opener at the Brooklands track back in April, Wood would take his second win of the season by almost a lap over Top Qualifier Thurston after the Mugen Seiki driver had problems in the pits that led to a crash while he was leading. At the start of the half hour encounter, it was third place qualifier Andy Hasting who set about chasing down Thurston after he got the jump on a slow starting Wood but the former Champion would find his way back into second. Unfortunately for Hasting he wouldn’t see the finish as he hit problems that forced hm to retire allowing Shepherd team-mate Karl Dransfield to complete the podium. In 1:8 Electric, Serpent’s Mark Green took the TQ and win ahead of Michael Walton and Mark Boothman. Next up for the British Championship contenders is the EFRA European Championship with the UK’s famous Halifax track hosting the Euros from August 11-16th.
