Exotek Sprint 2 alloy bulkhead set-1

Exotek have a new super trick alloy performance bulkhead for the HPI Sprint 2 4WD touring car available. It is of a heavy duty design that gives the car the precision and strength needed for high power brushless motor speeds. Machined to keep weight at a minimum and then polished and anodised in factory orange the bulkhead not only help to raise the cars performance but also its looks. On top of that the alloy construction adds heat dissipation for the motor plate for cooler running. The set includes quality machined hex M3 hardware and the bulkhead utilises a set screw to hold the hinge pins instead of the stock e-clips. Usable on the front or rear of the car and designed to work with the stock or Exotek chassis as well as the stock shock or Exotek shock towers.

Yannic Prümper signs with Hitec

Hitec have announced the signing of German frontrunner Yannic Prümper to their team. Yannic, who won the Italian round of this year’s Euro Touring Series, will use the company’s Lynx 4S radio system from the upcoming ETS finale in Slovakia on. The Yokomo factory driver has the following to say about the deal:

I am very happy to be part of the Hitec team and I cannot await my first race with the new radio system. The transmitter is very well balanced and perfectly fits my needs. I really look forward to use the Lynx 4S at the ETS finale in Trencin.

Tamiya TG10 Mk.2 FZ Raikiri GT

Tamiya soon have a new bodyshell variant for their TG10 Mk.2 FZ 1/10th 4WD nitro on-road chassis available in the form of the Raikiri GT. The body was designed by a former Toyota Motor Cooperation designer although it also shares some design ideas with Honda’s iconic NSX 2-door coupe. As for the chassis underneath the TG10 is a shaft-driven 4WD platform with 3mm aluminium chassis, composite upper deck, a 2-speed gearbox, widely adjustable pivot-ball suspension and a 2.1cc FS-12FZ recoil starter engine. The kit will hit the stores by end of June.

RDRP B5-series glossy carbon battery plate

Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced the glossy carbon fibre battery plate for the Team Associated B5M. Being a direct replacement for the standard composite part the plate is cut from high-quality 3mm glossy finish carbon fibre material, it is light of weight yet very rigid and it allows for a safe and secure battery mounting, even when the going gets tough. The plate is usable with standard as well as most aftermarket battery thumb screws and it fits the T5M stadium and SC5M short course truck as well.

HPI Racing have introduced a 2.25mm carbon fibre main chassis plate for the Pro5 touring car. The optional 92mm wide chassis is of a symmetrical design with a mirrored machined motor pocket and it is best suited for low-traction conditions.

Simon Moss teams up with Yokomo

Yokomo have announced the signing of UK’s Simon Moss to their electric off-road team. Simon, who only left his long-term sponsors Schumacher last week, will further strengthen Yokomo’s off-road team in the UK by joining front runners Lee Martin and Tom Cockerill. This is what Simon has to say about the deal:

I’m really looking forward to joining the Yokomo team and can’t wait to start racing their already strong platform! I want to thank Minoru, Shin Adachi and Lee Martin for making this move possible and hope to strengthen the team across the UK and Europe. Yuichi Kanai joins Reds Racing

Reds Racing have announced the signing of former World Champion Yuichi Kanai to their factory team. The head of 1/8th offroad development for Kyosho is currently attending the Kyosho Masters in France from where the deal was finalised. Kanai will uses the Italian made engines to power his distinctive green race cars, replacing the RB engines he ran previously.

SLB/TRT-Technik 1/5 BMW 3-series air cooling channel

Made for the SLB/TRT-Technik EFRA #5063/14 1/5th scale BMW 3-series Superstars bodyshell is an air cooling channel set. Containing three pre-cut 0.75mm Lexan parts the system routes the air directly to the air filter and provides a better cooling and improved performance of the engine. All required mounting material is included in the set. As for the bodyshell it is available in the material thicknesses of 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 mm and it comes pre-cut cut while the 1.0 and 1.5mm variants being also available with the side and rear windows cut out. The cooling system is also in preparation for the BMW 320si WTCC EFRA #5052/06 bodyshell.
