Cody King to remain at Kyosho

Cody King has finalized a new contract with his long time chassis sponsor Kyosho. This contract extension will push the relationship between King and Kyosho to 15 years and beyond. During his tenure with Kyosho, Cody has 18 National A main appearances, 4 consecutive IFMAR Worlds final appearances, and one World Championship title in 2010. Cody will compete in the 1/10 off-road, and 1/8 off-road categories using Kyosho vehicles with the biggest race on the calendar for 2015 being the IFMAR 1/10 Off-Road World Championship at Yatabe Arena in Japan.

New STRC Yeti & SCX10 upgrades

ST Racing Concepts have new aluminium and carbon fibre option parts for the Axial Yeti and SCX10 available. The aluminium parts are made to replace the standard plastic components with CNC-machined alloy pieces in order to up the strength and precision. Available in anodised black, green, gun metal, silver or web limited red are steering knuckles, a front body mount, and chassis brace as well as a heatsink motor plate, driveshaft cups as well as a steering post and bearing set. Also new is a CNC-machined graphite rear upper shock mount plate.

Spec-R aluminium body height adjusters

New from Spec-R come body height adjusters in various colours. Made from aluminium the parts are of a common design and they help to precisely set the body height and rake of 1/10th scale on-road bodyshells. Included in the set are four threaded bushings, four height adjuster thumb nuts, steel pins and eight rubber O-rings. Made from CNC-machined high-quality alloy the height adjusters are available in blue, black, orange and red anodising and they fit all vehicles with the same body post diameter as Spec-R’s line of touring cars.

Exotek DEX210 alloy 12mm hex set & MM wing mounts

Exotek have new option parts for the Team Durango DEX210 buggy available in the form of a 12mm aluminium hex set and alloy wing mounts for mid motor converted buggies. Starting with the wheel hex adapter set the precision machined parts are of a clamping design and made for the use on the rear of the DEX210 2WD and the front of the DEX410 4WD buggy. They allow the use of industry standard 12mm hex wheels such as the ones from Team Associated, TLR or the pre-glued Schumacher EOS handout wheels. The hex adapters come gold anodised, in sets of two and including 1.6mm hard steel pins and 2mm screws.

Naoto Matsukura joing Tamiya Racing Factory

Reigning IFMAR ISTC World Champion and 3-time 1/12th scale World Champion has made the move to Team TRF. The former Yokomo superstar announced his surprise departure from his long time sponsor back in mid December and it seems he has now made the jump to Japanese rivals Tamiya to race alongside good friend and 4 time World Champion Marc Rheinard. With this deal only concerning touring car we still have to see what the 21 year old will race in offroad and 1/12th scale. Watch this space.

Elliott Harper expands deal with GForce

Elliott Harper has announced a continuation and expansion of his deal with GForce into 2015 and beyond. The British driver, a Worlds, Euros and ETS Podium Finisher, had been using GForce accessories during 2014, but will now run the complete line of products including the GForce TS160 Speed Controller and Super Sonic line of GForce motors. Elliott had the following to say:

Firstly, I would like to thank Frankie, Andreas and everyone at ORCA for their help and support whilst representing the brand throughout the past two years. I have been really impressed with the GForce accessories I’ve used during 2014, and so made the decision to use their full range of products in 2015 and beyond. I’m looking forward to working with the whole GForce family and running the new TS160 Competition Speed Controller and Super Sonic line of brushless motors.
