Pro-Line have sent us this sneak peak of their new soon to be released 1/10th Blockade tire. Based off the very popular 1/8th scale tire this all-rounder is soon to be available in this smaller form. We expect more information on the tire and its release date in the coming days.

Following first teaser images back in December Serpent now release full information on the SRX2 Spyder mid motor buggy. The Billy Easton designed vehicle shares the front end and some minor parts with the already available rear motor buggy but features a completely new chassis and rear end. The buggy that is designed for medium to high bite tracks builds on a composite chassis compatible with saddle or shorty LiPo packs and the 4-gear transmission allows for an adjustable differential height in order to adapt the buggy to various track conditions. Included with the kit comes a limited slip ball differential as well as a 3-pad slipper clutch. Other features include 12mm RCM big bore shock absorbers, C-hubs and rear carriers with interchangeable inserts, spring steel wheel axles, an aluminium motor plate and carbon fibre shock towers. Included in the kit is also a cab forward body shell and high downforce rear wing and the buggy will become available by the end of January.

Top Italian racer Francesco Tironi has signed to run for Team Shepherd in the upcoming 2014 season. The multiple Italian Champion, Worlds podium finisher and EC / ENS finalist is going to use the Velox V10 for 1/10th scale and the Velox V8 for 1/8th scale at both European championships, the 1/10th Worlds and the ENS series. Being well know for his positive attitude he will additionally give some track support at races in Italy. Francesco had the following to say:
First of all I would like to thank Capricorn for the last two years. But now it’s time to move on and I’m very happy to join the Shepherd factory team. Especially after their multiple 1/8th EC titles in 2013 and the big steps they made with their innovations on the V10 PRO it will be pleasure to be a part of this team. Available soon from Team C is this steel gear set for the company’s 4WD buggies and short course trucks. Containing a 40T differential and 16T input gear the machined parts are meant to do away with reliability issues that can occur with the original sintered steel gears when not setting the gear mesh right. Included in the set are one diff and one input gear.

Spec-R introduce their version 2 front spool axles for Tamiya TRF417 and the Yokomo BD-7 kits. Both build around an aluminium spool body with the axles now coming with hardened steel outdrives that are of a new design with machined sections for a lower weight while retaining the needed overall rigidity. The TRF417 variant sports a lighter Tamiya blue colour while the BD-7 part is available in darker Yokomo blue.

Capricorn have announced that current 1/8th European vice champion and multiple British champion Kyle Branson has joined their team for this season. Kyle will be running the full car line from Capricorn and as always competing at the European championships in both 1/8th and 1/10th classes and also this years world championships for 1/10th. He will also attend all of the ENS series this year. Kyle had the following to say:
I am very happy to be joining Capricorn for this 2014 season. The continuous development from Capricorn is very impressive, they are always trying their best to improve their products and be on top. I first ran with Capricorn at last years 1/10th European championships and was extremely happy with the support from Patrizio. RPM soon have this wide front bumper for Team Associated’s B44 line of buggies available. Made from a special nylon compound and sporting a wide design the bumper helps to protect the front end and especially the shock tower and front arms from becoming damaged in the event of a crash. Being 127mm wide and extending forward around 38mm the bumper fits the original B44 as well as the B44.1 and B44.2.

VBC Racing now have these 1-piece front rear suspension mounting brackets for the Wildfire touring car available. They are designed to replace the stock “split” mounts on the Wildfire and Wildfire D06 kits and help to make the front end of the car more rigid which can be helpful in very high-bite conditions. Available as P00 and P05 variant the brackets are a direct replacement.
