Blue Groove Pro Grips

Blue Groove Pro Grip

We feel we must give these ‘Pro Grips’ a special mention for being one of the uglier accessories to pimp your transmitter with this season. Made by Blue Groove RC Concepts out of North Carolina they are available in 4 colours and turn your normally slick, in this case M11, steering wheel into something more resembling Bob the Builders tractor wheel. Regardless of how they look i’m sure they work, and will allow even the sweatiest of racer the control they need to move over and go another lap down.

BGC have also released 5 rather nice solid billet steering wheels for your transmitter, perfect for those racers who feel the need to customize everything they bring to the track.

BP Racing 735 Engine

BP Racing 735 Engine

Peter V over at Radio Control Zone posted a few exploded shots of the Fastom 735 Engine that showed up on the internet today but had little or no other information about it. So i checked a few things and found that this engine is made by BP Racing in Italy and was in fact introduced earlier this year at the toy fair in Nürnberg along with the Motonica and early reports are that it isn’t as hot as it looks.

From the BP Racing site
New generation engine entirely drawn in series by the full with special alloys and high precision machineries Crankshaft diameter 15 bearings with increased diameters. Crankcase-sleeve group decomposed to facilitate the maintenance and the preparation. Crankcase entirely obtained by bars of wire material to reach a very higt mechanical resistance, totally eliminating all the porousness coming by fusion. Sleeve-linear assembled with tight tolerances to avoid vibration and consequent breakings.

Check out the BP Racing site for more information or view the exploded view here.

Atomic Carbon S4

Atomic Carbon S4

Oople.com got a close up look at the ‘under development’ Atomic Carbon S4 4wd buggy at last weekends race at the CML Raceway.

An evolution of the original “Slim 4”, this latest pre-production car is owned by Chris Doughty – former European Champion. Chris left a factory drive at Losi to drive the S4 for Atomic Carbon (and B4 for CML).

More than just a new name, the car actually has a unique chassis – a thick and very trick looking carbon fibre moulded tub design. This eliminates the need for an upper deck and also does a good job of sealing out the dirt.
