Tenshock X-211 4-pole brushless motor

Tenshock introduce the X-211 4-pole brushless motor. The sensored motor is build to match current 540-size dimensions and features a CNC-machined aluminium can, heavy-duty solder tabs, it is of a 4-pole 12 slots design and comes with a kevlar-wrapped rotor. High purity copper windings make for maximum conductivity while the sintered neodymium magnet promised the highest torque possible. The motor is available as 3.5T to 8.5T “modified” as well as 10.5T to 21.5T “stock” variant.

Serpent Spyder springs & conical pistons

Serpent have new optional springs and conical pistons available for the Spyder 1/10 2WD buggy. Starting with the springs, they are made from high-quality spring steel and come matched and colour-coded. Available is a full range of eight 2.5lbs to 3.7lbs front and six 2.0lbs to 2.5lbs rear springs. Also new are three CNC-machined delrin piston sets. They are of a conical design and available as 2, 3 and 4-hole variant in order to adjust the buggy to a wide range of track conditions. All parts are available now.

Arrowmax Honeycomb bearing meter

Arrowmax introduce this bearing meter out of their Honeycomb line of tools. The meter is made from high-quality aluminium and it is designed to measure even bearing diameters up to 15mm. The tools comes with the distinctive honeycomb design handle and also comes in handy when testing or lubricating ball races.

Red Racing .21 TQ exhaust system

Reds Racing presents the new 1/8 on-road TQ exhaust system with an EFRA 2069 extra lightweight pipe and new Torque manifold. The 100 percent Italian-made pipe offers an extremely light weight and it is ideal for racers who seek the absolute maximum. The TQ pipe reaches the best performance with the new Torque L manifold which allows to increase the low and mid RPM range power with both the M7T and M7WC engines while maintaining a restrained consumption. The pipe is also doing very well in combination with the traditional M, L, and XL manifolds.

Serpent 977 Viper hard composite parts

Serpent introduce hard composite suspension parts for the 977 Viper on-road car. The newly designed material will increase grip, steering and responsiveness of the car in certain track conditions and depending on the setup. The H-marked parts have been extensively tested prior to the recent World Championships in Japan with the new World Champion Tadahiko Sahashi having used the parts to win the title. All parts such as the uprights, front and rear lower and front upper wishbones are available now.

VRC Pro Column – Nitro Buggy testing

This month’ VRC Pro Column is all about the difficulties VRC encountered during initial 1/8th nitro buggy testing. After the first tests with the new 1/8 nitro buggies early August of this year, it was obvious that Todd ‘Doc’ Wasson, the VRC Pro physics specialist, had to go back to the research lab. The buggy drove, but nothing close enough to the real car so beta testing was halted for 2 months. In these 2 months a lot has happened. A lot of research was done in understanding the dynamics of the buggy better.

Kevin Lee joins Team C/Absima/SMD

After a successful campaign with FDL, Kyosho and Tekin Racing UK top driver Kevin Lee will join Team C, Absima and SMD to run Team C’s latest electric off-road cars and Absima electronics. This is what Kevin has to say about the deal:

It’s an exciting and busy time for Team C/Absima/SMD at the moment with lots of TM4 development work and many other plans in the pipeline. I wanted a piece of this, and that’s why I am so happy to have agreed a 2 year contract to run Team C cars and Absima Revenge electronics. Thanks to all at Team C/Absima/SMD for making it possible. I plan on attending the EOS, European Championships and Japan Worlds in 2015, so it’s definitely going to be an a fun time with a great team. I’d like to thank my previous sponsors FDL/Kyosho/Orion and Tekin Racing. They have helped me so much over the last few years for which I am extremely grateful. Davide Ongaro joins Yokomo off-road team

Yokomo announce the addition of Italian 1/8th nitro off-road driver Davide Ongaro to their talented team of factory drivers. Davide TQ’d this year’s European B Championship and ended in 5th place while also achieving a very good result at the Euro A in Reims. This is what Davide has to say about the deal:
