Marco Vanni joins Team Shepherd

Shepherd announce that top Italian racer Marco Vanni joins their team for the 2014 season. After finishing second at the Trofeo Picco in Fiorano at the end of last year and finishing in 5th place at the recent Winter Nationals in Fort Myers, Marco decided to run the 2014 season with the German-based squad. Planning to race the full Italian championship, the European championship, two ENS races and some selected international races he will be a great ambassador for Shepherd. Marco had the following to say:

I’m very happy to join this great team with their succesful high quality products. Thanks to Team Shepherd for this great opportunity especially to Armin who arranged everything. I’m already very happy with the car and really looking forward to the upcoming races.

WRC STX 2014 conversion kit

Italian company WRC now have this 2014 conversion kit for the ’13 spec touring car available. It includes a new carbon fibre main chassis, updated battery locators, new split-design FR and RF hinge pin mounts as well as updated steering rail mounting brackets.

Now available from DMS Partz comes a clear lexan undertray for the X-Factory X-6 Cubed buggy. Designed to keep dust, dirt and moisture away from the chassis the tray sports cut lines marked for both high and low sidewalls, with multiple location holes added for easy installation.

Powerstar PM-1207LV low-profile servo

Powerstar soon have the PM-1207LV low-profile servo available. Coming in an all-alloy case the standard voltage servo offers a speed of up to 0.074s/60° and a torque of 12kg-cm – both at 6.0V input. The features include a digital circuitry and a brushless motor while the sturdy case design makes it ideal for on-road and off-road applications alike.

OFNA X3-GT 1/8th on-road kit

OFNA presents the X3-GT 1/8th 4WD nitro on-road kit. Based around a sturdy, hard-anodised aluminium chassis with 2-diff drivetrain and 2-speed gearbox the vehicle also features low-profile aluminium shock towers and shocks, a 1-piece radio tray for easy servicing and maintenance, as well as a .28 recoil starter nitro engine with a tuned pipe for added performance. Included in the kit are strong steering and throttle servos, a 2.4GHZ radio system and also semi-slick tyres on black multi-spoke rims along mean looking GT bodyshell.

Exotek SRX-2 servo mounts & battery strap

Exotek have first option parts for the Serpent SRX-2 buggy available in the form of aluminium servo mounts and a carbon fibre battery strap. First up are the servo mounting brackets, machined from high quality aluminium the parts come in Serpent orange or glossy gun metal finish and replace the stock plastic mounts with a more rigid and cooler looking alternative. Also new is the Flite LiPo battery strap for the rear motor SRX-2. Weighting in at only 4.8g the carbon fibre part is not only over 5g lighter than the stock part but it also gives added clearance allowing to run the battery in a more forward position while mounting the speedo behind the battery for improved balance. The brace is usable with stock or aftermarket thumb screws.

Team Durango DEX210v2 2WD buggy

Team Durango introduce the new DEX210v2 2WD electric off-road buggy. Building on the popular DEX210 platform the updated v2 version features a good amount of new features and updated parts such as an 8mm longer chassis for improved stability, new straight design front wishbones for increased ground clearance and redesigned front and rear shock towers for added crash stability, additional setup options and better stability when landing jumps. In addition to the new front lower A-arms the kit also received new rear arms, longer differential outdrives, updated driveshafts and also new gearbox halves with added camber link mounts. Team Durango also worked on the durability by adding an aluminium steering link plate, new DIMEC X ball cups and an aluminium RR -2mm low roll centre suspension mount. Included with the kit, that allows to build your choice of a mid or rear motor buggy straight from the box, are also a redesigned bodyshell and a new rear wing.

Bruno Coelho continues with Xray

Xray announce that the multi-time Portuguese champion Bruno Coelho has re-signed with the Slovakian manufacturer to be part of the team in 2014. Bruno is a multi-skill driver who successfully races all kinds of classes and therefore he will use Xray’s full range of nitro and electric cars and buggies in his 2014 campaign. This is what Bruno has to say about the deal:

I finally managed to realize a big dream that I had for some time. I want to say thank you to Xray for helping me achieving my goals and expectations for this season. I promise that I will work hard in order to add even more titles to this great brand that has evolved so much in the world of RC and also give my contribution to the advancement of the Xray technical level.
