ECX Torment & Ruckus 1/18 4WD RTR trucks

Horizon Hobby introduce the ECX Ruckus and Torment 1/18 scale 4WD ready-to-run trucks. Both base on the same composite tub chassis with 4WD shaft drivetrain, long suspension arms and oil-filled shock absorbers. Tough gear differentials help to put the power on the ground. While the Ruckus mimics a monster truck with huge tyres and pick-up body shell the Torment comes with a short course truck body and replica wheels and tyres. The RTR sets include a 2.4GHz radio system, waterproof receiver and speed controller unit as well as all needed batteries and a charger.

Xray RX8 composite lower bulkheads

Xray introduce new composite lower bulkheads for the RX8 on-road car. They are of a clean and lightweight design and moulded in a new hard material making them ideal for the use in high ambient temperatures or on very high grip tracks. They also absorb vibrations created by the engine and make for a more natural flex compared to the stock parts. All four bulkheads are available as separate items.

DE Racing B4, T4 & SC10 chassis braces

New from DE Racing come front chassis braces for the Team Associated B4, T4 and SC10 line of buggies and trucks. Designed to increase life and durability while maintaining the chassis’ stock appearance the parts virtually eliminate broken chassis. When mounted the chassis brace sandwiches the chassis between itself and the upper steering plate, redistributing impacts and reducing the change of braking the chassis. The braces are available as B4/T4 and SC10 variant and come including a drill and mounting hardware.

New Protoform Mazda 6 body coming?

Protoform today released a teaser image sporting a blurred-out “6” starting rumours that there is a new Mazdaspeed 6 in the making. The current incarnation of PF’s Mazda 6 is a bit “aging” although still the number one choice for many racers on both carpet and asphalt tracks. We keep you up-to-date as soon as more information are available.

Victor Pelaez win Madrid Champs Rd4

The 4th round of the Madrid Champs took place in Asoger with the race was used by many as practice session for next week’s Spanish Nationals at the same track. At the end of the 30 minute final it was Serpent’s Victor Pelaez who took the win one lap ahead of team mate Juan Antonio Hidalgo with David Lopez Garcia completing the top 3.

Xray NT1 graphite 2-speed gears

Xray introduce these graphite reinforced 2-speed gears for the NT1 200mm nitro car. The all-new material is lightweight and extremely strong making for added durability and minimal wear. The gears are marked for easy identification and run ultra true for increased drivetrain efficiency. Available as 57T to 60T 1st gear and 53T to 55T 2nd gear variant.

Team C TM4 4WD buggy – First image

Some weeks ago Team C released a first rendering of their upcoming TM4 4WD electric off-road buggy and today a first image of what appears to be the production prototype is available. The buggy makes use of the tried and tested T4 suspension components and big bore shock absorbers but everything in between is new. Given the photo the TM4 makes use of an aluminium main chassis with carbon fibre upper deck and the overall design sees the motor and speed controller as well as the shorty LiPo battery pack being located in the rear part of the chassis while the steering servo and receiver will find a home up front. The somewhat unconventional weight distribution is meant to calm the buggy down, allowing for higher corner speeds and a lighter overall weight. King Headz Ten SCTE steering top plate

King Headz Ten SCTE upper steering plate

New from King Headz for the Losi Ten SCTE is this steering top plate which has been CNC machined from 7075 aircraft grade aluminium. Black anodized it is designed to increase the rigidity between the top plate and the front shock tower. The upper shock tower bolts screw into the upper plate and will eliminate the chance of the upper plate screws being pulled out of the bulkhead in a bad crash.
