Durango DNX408 option parts

Team Durango have released several new option parts for their DNX408 nitro off-road buggy. First up is a carbon fibre radio tray. Woven from high-quality carbon fibre, this hop-up part is 43% lighter than the standard kit item. It is also a lot stiffer, offering you the most precise servo operation. It allows less heat flow-through from the chassis allowing greater heat dissipation through the bottom of the chassis plate. Next up we have an aluminium throttle arm to replace the stock plastic item. This high-strength aluminium throttle arm allows you to run a strong carb-return spring on your engine. Weighing in at only 4.3 grams, it also gives you ultra-precise throttle operation. Finally, for a bit of rear wing bling, there is these gold-anodised aluminium wing buttons. Anodised in Team Durango gold, they are high strength and weigh just 1.0 gram each.

Xray lightweight XCA flywheel

Xray have introduced this optional lightweight XCA flywheel made from tough 7075 T6 hard coated aluminum. Strategically lightened compared to the standard flywheel, it reduces rotating weight without sacrificing strength or durability.

Novarossi N21-5T basic sport engine

When Novarossi launched their Basic Sport Competition engine line back in 2009, demand exceeded expectation and so as a result, the N21-5T has received an update. The N21-5T comes with a new crankcase with a new internal porting design for a more optimized flow. There are also external changes to the crankcase, such as a different pattern of cooling ribs along the crankcase.

Shepherd 1/10th Pan Car tires

After a lot of testing and development Shepherd are happy to announce the release of their new line of 1/10th Pan Car tires. The new black rims designed by experienced pan-car racer Josh Cyrul and the best rubber available ensure optimized performance. A wide variety of different shores will help you to find the best setup up for the current track conditions. To help recognize the compound the new tires have color codes for easy identification.

Xray RX8 carbon chassis inserts

New from Xray for their RX8 chassis are these carbon chassis inserts. Adding additional stiffness to the chassis in both the front or rear, they are made from thick CNC-machined premium-grade graphite. Unlike the brass versions released early last month, these wont add any weight so you can adjust flex without changing the chassis balance.

JJ Wang signs to Novarossi

Novarossi have announced the signing of 13-Year Old Chinese-American JJ Wang to their factory team. The up and coming young driver, who resides in Shanghai, China, is the top 1/8 nitro driver in the country and rising star among the ranks of top Asian drivers. JJ had this to say about the deal:

Ever since I started racing since I was 7.5 years old, I have always thought of Novarossi as the brand that makes the best engines in the world. I am really happy to have this opportunity to race for Novarossi and to be on a team with so many world champions. Now with the power for Novarossi engines, I hope to perform even better at races in China and around the world.

FTW Night Fox body shells for RC8B & 808

FTW Racing Components have released their new line of bodies for 1:8 scale off-road buggies with the introduction of fitments for Team Associated’s RC8B and Xray’s 808.
