Speed Power A8 Pro & A6 chargers

Following on from the release of their A3 and B1 chargers, Speed Power have released the latest additions to the Esprit line, the A6 and A8 Pro. The A8 Pro balance charger and discharger is another DC powered unit wit a maximum charge power of 80W, 10W for discharge. The current ranges are from 0.1 to 6.0A for charging and 0.1 to 2.0A for discharging and it can handle up to 15 NiMh cells and 6 lithium cells. The A6, also a DC charger and discharger, has a max charge power of 50W and a discharge power of 5W, while the charge current is from 0.1 o 5.0A and 0.1 to 1.0A for discharge. Both chargers feature a 2 line LCD display and an easy to navigate functions menu.

Hot Bodies D8 Hara Edition

In collaboration with World Champion Atsushi Hara, Hot Bodies have released the D8 Hara Edition 1/8th scale 4WD buggy kit. Loaded with tons of race grade hop-ups, there is a new lightweight 3mm chassis, lightweight drive train and pivot balls and new 5mm front shock tower. Also included are the optional front aluminium spindles, threaded outer hinge pins, new rear aluminium hub with horizontal captured pivot ball and new high mount shock tower with 112mm shocks and 68mm yellow springs, which is Hara’s default setup

Hudy LE 7.0mm socket driver

Hudy have released this super-lightweight CNC-machined Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium tool made for tightening/loosening M4 nuts such as the wheel nuts on all touring cars. The handle which features a diamond pattern surface for unsurpassed grip, includes the plastic cap in black colour press fitted into the handle end. Optional color-coded plastic caps (violet, red, blue) are available to customize the tools to your specifications.

Arrowmax MRX-5 CVD & 1st gear housing

Arrowmax have released these front CVD shafts for use on the Mugen MRX-5. Made from spring steel, these shafts are lighter than the kit versions yet remain ultra durable. Also new for the MRX-5 is this aluminium first gear housing that has been machined for extra weight savings.

Big-Racing RC8 lightweight chassis

Big-Racing have released this chassis plate for the Associated RC8. Milling out the original factory chassis, they have managed to make the whole part 60 grams lighter for improved car performance without sacrificing strength or stiffness.

Makita & Kicker form Partnership with Team Associated

Makita Industrial Power Tools and Kicker Performance Audio have formed a partnership with Team Associated to support its team of pro R/C drivers during the 2010 and 2011 racing seasons. Details of the partnership are not available at this time, but sources claim the deal goes far beyond product sponsorship. Cliff Lett, Vice President of Team Associated, expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership:

This deal marks the beginning of corporate team sponsorship in the R/C industry. Makita and Kicker are premium product leaders in their industries, much like Team Associated is in R/C, and both have products that appeal to the same demographics as our industry.
