Schumacher were in touch to tell us that in its debut season the Cougar SV has won the BRCA British 2WD Off Road Championship. Congratulations to Tom Cockerill who secured the title at the last round of the series at the Stotfold track this weekend. In spite of having an off day and only making the B final Tom’s main championship contenders failed to improve on their points scores so Tom watched on and won the championship from his marshalling post. However the Cougar SV was working extremely well on the wet slippery track with 5 Cougar SV’s making the final. With Simon Moss finishing an excellent 3rd and congratulations to Dave Poulter and Lloyd Storey who both made their first national A finals with the Cougar SV. Grant Williams and Jonathan Palmer rounded out the 5 cars in the A, in what was an excellent team performance.

More new optional parts for the Hot Bodies TCX with the release of this new line of spur gears. Made by Xenon Racing in Japan these 64P light weight and smooth running spur gears are made to the highest tolerances and are a direct fit for the car. Serpent have announced the release of these new aluminium wheel-axles for their S811 Cobra buggy. Precision machined and hard anodized, they are super lightweight and replace the standard steel kit versions with no modifications required. Sold in a pair, they are available at the end of the month.

Team Associated have released these Factory Team 2WD off road rear ballast weight which fits the SC10 FT, B4.1 FT, T4.1 FT and SC10 2.4 GHz RTR. This 17 gram Zinc alloy cast weight helps give more rearward weight bias and mates with the #7487 arm mount for a completely captured fit with the chassis. Weight and mounts retrofit B4, T4, SC10 kits.

Totally new developments, they offer features like lightened pinion gears or full aluminium body and bring together high performance with great prices. The Vortex Digital HV servos feature a full aluminium body, lightened titanium gears and coreless motor and come in 3 different versions, the VDS-HV 1205 (12kg/0.05s), the VDS-HV 1609 (16kg/0.09s) and the VDS-HV 2612 (26kg/0.12s). The Vortex Digital servo also features coreless motors and lightened titanium gears and in standard size comes in 4 different versions, the VDS 1106 (11kg/0.06s), VDS 1308 (13kg/0.08s), VDS 1712 (17kg/0.12s) and the VDS 2315 (23kg/0.15s) and also in a low profile version, the VDS 1009 (10kg/0.09s). Finally there is the entry level Vortex Digital EXP servo, the VDS-EXP 1112 (11kg/0.12s) which comes with metal gears and a coreless motor.
