Reds Racing engines for Neumann

Italian engine brand Reds Racing has announced that former 1:8 GT World Champion Joern Neumann has joined its team line-up and will use their engines to power his Sworkz cars in both Nitro Buggy and GT.  On the announced the German driver said, ‘I am looking forward to join Reds Racing and use their nitro engines for the 2025/26 season.  After testing them, I was impressed by the performance and power.  Thank you to Federica, Marco and Mario for making it possible to join their team.’

RUDDOG Astro Ripper 1:10 Buggy Tyres

German brand RUDDOG has entered the 1:10 buggy competition tyre market with the release of the Astro Ripper and Front Ripper tyres.  The Astro Ripper tread pattern, specially developed for Astroturf, ensures high traction and consistent performance on a wide variety of artificial turf tracks.  It also impresses with good durability and even wear.  The tyres are offered in two durable compounds, a medium ‘Yellow’ variant for dry conditions and a special ‘Green’ compound for wet and damp tracks.

Philippine Masters ’25 track revealed

The organisers of the Philippine Masters has revealed the Circulo Verde Race Track which will host Asia’s most high profile 1:8 Offroad event of the year from April 30-May 4.  The 13th running of the Philippine Masters, track designer and accomplished offroad racer Edward Sio has overseen the work which includes the track being newly re-surfaced and oiled.  Tweaking the layout in some sections and they have also added some additional jumps for more actions on this always popular track.  Last year the Manila event was once again won by World Champion Davide Ongaro in a final that saw the legendary Atsushi Hara lead for almost half the final.  With the Philippines famed as a holiday destination, the event has a truly unique vibe living up to the nations tourism tagline ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines’.  Holding the same status as the TITC in Thailand does among onroad racers, once again Philippine Masters ’25 will form part of Scotty Ernst’s Asian Buggy Championships as the second stop of four races that make up the championship’s third season.

Xray X4F Alu 1.5mm Flex Chassis

New from Xray for their X4F Front Wheel Drive Electric Touring Car is this 1.5mm thick aluminium chassis with unique flex characteristics. Generating more overall traction and improved steering, it is suitable for low to medium traction carpet conditions, as well as high traction asphalt tracks.  The narrow chassis is 84mm wide with tapered bottom edge of the chassis to reduce contact between the chassis and the ground during cornering to improve speed.  Specially CNC-machined countersunk screws from Hudy Spring Steel must be used to make the assembly possible.  Optional screws are available also as a complete set featuring 33pcs of special 110° screws to completely install the chassis.

Sobue wins GRC Indoor track reopening SSOGO race

Having won last year’s single round Asian Onroad Championship at the newly renovated outdoor track at GRC Raceway in Korea, Axon driver Akio Sobue returned over the weekend to win the first race on the track’s newly completed indoor track.  Hosting the ‘SSOGO 2025’ race to reopen the very impressive newly redone indoor facility, the event attracted a number of international racers including Xray’s Nicolas Lee, Xpress’ Yugo Nagashima and Sobue along with his Axon team-mate Hayato Ishioka.  Racing to 17.5T Boosted spec, qualifying would see Sobue top all three qualifiers to secure the overall TQ ahead of fellow Japanese racer Nagashima, Lee and Ishioka.  Sobue continued that form in the finals wrapping up the win after A2.  Winning A3 ahead of runner-up Nagashima, Ishioka would complete the podium.  Finishing P4 Lee, a race promoter himself who puts on the annual eSIC event in his home country of Singapore, has produced a video tour of the Galenaro Racing Circuit (GRC) which highlights the impression vision of track owner Yun Tak Kim – click here to view video.

Rheinard opens ’25 touring car season with GP3F win

The 2025 international Electric Touring Car season got underway this weekend with Awesomatix’s Marc Rheinard taking the win at the annual GP3F race in France.   Having held the overnight TQ in Longwy, Rheinard would secure the overall TQ for his Team Cayote powered A800R by recording a third TQ run in Sunday morning’s fourth and final qualifier.  Behind the reigning European Champion, Mugen Seiki’s Ronald Volker, winner of the race in 2020, claimed P2 on the grid being the only other driver to go fastest in qualifying when he took Q3.  Defending Champion Michal Orlowski put his Schumacher 3rd on the grid for the triple A-Main ahead of Awesomatix’s Lucas Urbain with former 1:8 Offroad World Champion David Ronnefalk the top Xray in P5.  In the opening A-Main Rheinard entered the final lap leading from Orlowski but they made contact in the middle section of the track handing Urbain the win.  In the next two encounters Rheinard would set the fastest lap in each to win A2 from Orlowski by 1.6-seconds and A3 from Volker by 8/10ths to secure the overall win.  With his A1 win and P3 in A2 Urbain made it an Awesomatix 1-2 while Orlowski completed the podium ahead of Völker and Erik Dankel.  In Stock, Xray’s Adam Izsay secured the TQ and win ahead of Awesomatix’s Lukas Ellerbrock with third going to new RC Maker signing Tim Benson.
