PerfTec GraviDisk Tungsten balance weights

Dutch company PerfTec have introduced their new GraviDisk Tungsten balance weights. Designed for the use with pretty much every on-road and off-road car, the weights are of a very compact design that could be achieved by using high-density Tungsten metal, a material that offers about double the density of bronze and 2.5-times the density of steel, meaning at the same weight of a bronze or steel weight, Tungsten weights are significantly smaller, allowing for easier placement and less wasted chassis space. The basic disc design was chosen to simplify production of the unique metal in order to keep the discs affordable for racers of all levels. The weight discs have an outside diameter of 13mm and are available in two heights: 2.5mm, weighing 6g and 4.0mm, weighing in at 9.5g a piece. The stackable weights feature an inner 3mm hole, making attachment to chassis plates using spare chassis holes a breeze. The GraviDisk weights come as 2-piece sets of the same dimension/weight or as 4-piece set containing two of each weight. The set also includes stainless steel M3 mounting hardware in the form of countersunk screws and self-locking nuts – all packed in a handy stackable box that can be re-used for storing all sorts of RC hardware.

Xpress XQ1 & XQ10 aluminium main chassis plates

Xpress have introduced new bi-colour aluminium main chassis plates for their XQ1 touring car in mid-motor configuration as well as their forthcoming new XQ10 mid-motor tourer. The chassis are machined from high-quality 2.0mm aluminium and they feature flex cut-outs to optimise their torsional flex characteristics. As with all aluminium main chassis, they are recommended especially for medium to high-bite traction conditions as they increase overall stability while lowering the centre of gravity due to their limited flexibility and higher weight compared to a carbon fibre chassis. The XQ1 specific chassis comes in a black and silver finish while the XQ10 alloy chassis sports red anodised edge details.

X-Grip B-Revolution traction compound

Coming from X-Grip is their new B-Revolution tyre traction compound for rubber and foam tyres. Extensively tested and tweaked by X-Grip’s team drivers, the tyre sauce is of a universal formula that allows to cover pretty much every traction condition, ranging from low to high-bite, with the soak-in time allowing to adjust the overall traction available from a tyre. For the use on high-grip tracks a ten minutes application time is recommended while more traction can be produced for lower grip tracks, such as outdoor asphalt, when applying the compound 20 minutes before a run and using tyre warmers to work the compound into the tyre surface. For foam tyres an application time of about 15 minutes is recommended. The traction compound comes in handy foam applicator plastic bottles and it is available from now on.
