RC Maker CentraFlex BD10 top deck & post set

RC Maker have introduced their new CentraFlex top deck and post set for the Yokomo BD10 mid motor touring car. Conventionally in mid motor setups as seen on the BD10, the front of the top deck is entirely split in order to be able to slide the top deck over the front belt. This provides a significant amount of flex to the front of the car only, creating quite an imbalance in the top deck’s flex characteristics. The CentraFlex has been developed to slide in from the side under the belts, and due to the single sided design, can be joined in front of the spur gear to prevent excessive front top deck and bulkhead flex, bringing back the balance of front to rear flex provided by the top deck. As well as this, RC Maker have also added an additional post in front of the spur, to add more options when tuning the chassis’ flex. By installing or removing the flanged bearings either side of the spur gear, owners can change the flex point of the car instantly, either moving it forwards or backwards to adjust the balance of the car.

TSP-Racing Zonda GT 1/8th GT body shell

2-Speed from Germany have introduced the new TSP-Racing Zonda GT 1/8th GT body shell usable for both standard and long wheelbase chassis. The advanced competition body shell offers scale looks with performance to match due to refined aerodynamics that ensure a balanced front and rear downforce. The body will fit most 1/8th GT and rally game chassis in standard and LWB configuration due to the special design of the rear fenders, it is currently awaiting EFRA approval and will become available by mid to end of February.

Team Associated DR10 RTR drag race car

Team Associated have introduced their all-new DR10 RTR drag race car. The DR10 drag race car is based on the 9-time ROAR Short Course National Championship winning truck and utilises a moulded low-centre-of-gravity chassis, metric hardware, 18 precision ball beatings, a 2.6:1 ratio gearbox with heavy-duty sealed gear differential and externally adjustable slipper clutch as well as an adjustable suspension. Other features include a water-resistant high-power Reedy brushless speed control and 3300kV brushless motor, a 2.4GHz 2-channel radio system, as well as AE’s all-new DVC Dynamic Vehicle Control receiver unit with built-in adjustable digital gyro. Add to that a Reedy metal-gear, digital, high-torque servo and a water-resistant enclosed receiver box. The DR10 is available as ready-to-run package and also in LiPo combo specification including a Reedy Compact Balance Charger and Reedy 7.4V LiPo Battery with T-plug.

Sanwa SV-D2 drift car speed controller

UK Sanwa distributor Schumacher has introduced the new SV-D2 brushless speed controller especially designed for drift car racing. The SXR, SSL and Program Box Gen2 compatible ESC is Code 10 programmable using the Sanwa M17, M12S, M12S-RS, EXZES ZZ, and MT-44 transmitters and beside a drift car optimised firmware it also sports a new capacitor mount that allows for neater wiring even when using the optional cooling fan unit. The controller measures 31×36.8×19.5mm, it weighs in at 39.1g and is available now.

Rêve D 3mm & 3.5mm steering knuckle stoppers

Rêve D have introduced their new 3.0mm and 3.5mm diameter steering knuckle stoppers for RWD drift cars. Coming as pairs the machined aluminium shafts allow for precise steering end point adjustment, make limiting the overall steering throw easy and preventing the wheel from chattering. A task usually taken by set screw the alloy steering stoppers also look a lot more professional while offering higher precision. The stoppers are available as 2-piece sets and the are the perfect match with Rêve D’s #RD-001 ASL front knuckle and #RD-002 ASL front lower arm.

Arrowmax Medius T4 FWD conversion

Arrowmax is the latest manufacturer to release a FWD conversion kit for pre-2020 Xray T4 touring cars. Making use of their own Medius mid-motor mount design, the AM conversion allows to revive older spec T4 4WD chassis by scrapping the rear drivetrain and converting them into state of the art front-wheel drive tourers. The mid motor design ensures balanced handling, an efficient drivetrain and a lower overall centre of gravity. Included in the set is a new main chassis, a heavy brass front bumper mount, spilt upper decks, a new design floating servo mount as well as miscellaneous other accessories that allow for a full conversion. The chassis set is available in a carbon fibre chassis or an aluminium main plate variant, the latter is best used in medium-high to very high-bite track conditions.

Rêve D Absolute 1 brushless drift car motor

Following a first teaser image Rêve D from Japan have announced the soon release of their all-new Absolute 1 brushless drift car motor. Developed for the use in high-grip drift car racing, the motor uses an all-aluminium high airflow can for best possible heat dissipation while the setup ensures high top RPM without sacrificing high torque characteristics and a linear throttle feel which is important for racing on P-tile, asphalt and carpet surfaces. The motor will become available in a 10.5T and a 13.5T variant from mid to end of March.
