Team Saxo 1:10 Touring Car Rubber Tyres

Team Saxo has announced the addition of a new line of 1:10 Touring Car Rubber tyres to its product range. Produced in-house using their own molds, the tyre is offered in both an asphalt and a carpet spec. Describing the pre-glued sets of 4 tyres as ‘perfect for club racing’, the X variant for asphalt racing is offered in 24, 28, 32, 36, and 40 shore, while the XV for carpet use is available in 28 and 32.

Infinity IFB8 CFRP Shock Towers

Infinity has released new CFRP front and rear shock towers for its IFB8 1:8 Buggy Platform. By using 5mm thick Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), the shock mounting angle is optimised. With the front tower this improves road‑holding performance and enabling more precise, controlled cornering. The new rear tower improves rear‑end stability and provides a more confident, planted driving feel. The CFRP versions also offer a weighting reduction over the kit’s original aluminium parts – a 12-grams saving for the front and a 13-grams saving for the rear. With both the front and rear GRFP towers fitted together on the IFB8, they deliver even greater overall chassis balance.

SkyRC ITV500 Compact Handheld Thermal Imager

SkyRC has added this compact handheld thermal imager to its product line-up, the ITV500 designed to help RC drivers identify heat-related issues before failure occurs. Using FIR thermal imaging technology, the ITV500 visualises temperature differences across motors, ESCs, batteries, and connectors in real time, allowing drivers to see the temperature instantly and detect hidden hotspots. With contact-free temperature measurement and a touch-based interface, it provides a practical tool for identifying abnormal heat buildup during setup, testing, and trackside maintenance. Back to back Silver State wins for Fuller

Sworkz’s Mason Fuller has claimed back to back Nitro Buggy victories at Silver State Indoor Championships. With the young American talent taking a break through win at the high profile annual Las Vegas based race last April, he would back it up with victory at this year’s earlier running of the Joey Christensen event. In qualifying it was Kyosho’s Phi-Long Nguyen, who was on the podium last year, who took the TQ ahead of the Tekno pairing Seth VanDalen & Ryan Maifield, Sworkz’s Camden Lime, and Kyosho’s Ryan Lutz, the latter topping the first of the 3 qualifiers. In the 45-minute final it was looking set to be a super close battle between Nguyen and Fuller but a flame out as the race reached 3/4 distant would deny the talented teenager a chance at his first big win. With his main challenger gone, Fuller was able to claim the win with a 24-seconds advantage over Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin while VanDalen completed the podium. In eBuggy, Nguyen also took the TQ and after an incident packed final lap claimed the win ahead of Fuller and Tekno’s Jared Wiggins. Lutz had looked on target to win the 10-minute encounter but landed funny on the last lap handing Fuller the lead but he got hit by Maifield who in turn received contact from eventual winner Nguyen. In Truggy it was Maifield who took both the Nitro and Electric wins.

Piestch joins Infinity design team

Having announced in December his departure from Mugen Seiki after a very successful 16-year career with them both as a racer and designer, Robert Pietsch has been announced as the latest addition to the technical department at Infinity. The Japanese manufacturer, who are multiple World Champions in both 1:10 Nitro Touring Car & 1:8 Onroad welcomed the highly regarded German designer by saying, ‘With the beginning of the new year, we have decided to further strengthen our design and development department, with the goal of continuing to offer our customers the best possible products and making every moment dedicated to their passion even more enjoyable. We are therefore pleased to welcome Robert Pietsch, who officially joins our organization to support our technical department. Thanks to his decade-long experience and proven skills, Robert will be a significant added value for our future in the RC world. Welcome, Robert!’ On the move Pietsch posted, ‘Now the time has come — some of you may have already guessed it. I am very happy to announce that I have signed with Team Infinity and am officially starting my new role as a designer. I will give my very best to support the entire team and help bring new ideas to life.
