Kimihiko Yano EPS-J Twelve Tyre Processor

Japanese 1:12 brand specialists Kimihiko Yano has introduced this foam tyre processing machine that is designed specifically for 1:12 tyres. From the planning stage of the product, they interviewed people who have just started using the Twelve, as well as mid-level and expert drivers.  Asking them what kind of tire cutter they actually wanted, they continued developing the product in the hope that the introduction of this product will lower the barrier to entry and increase the number of people who will try the twelve.  Ideas obtained at the planning stage included making it as compact as possible and minimising the number of parts and emphasise maintainability.  Feedback also indicated no need for automatic feed function for the tool and no need for reverse function for the motor.  Users also wanted it compatible with hollowing out tires (popping out).  A hub that allows you to work with the wheel upside down is required to improve the hollowing out (popping out) accuracy.  And after testing two prototypes, the EPS-J Twelve Tire Processor was completed.
