PR Racing soon have new 1/10th scale buggy wheels available. They offer a revised design and are available as new 2WD slim front, 2WD regular wide front, 4WD front and general rear rim in white or fluorescent yellow colour, as pair or 4-pair value packs. The wheels fit PR Racing’s line of 2WD and 4WD buggies and also other brand’s cars.
Serpent have introduced new optional parts for the SDX4 1/10th 4WD buggy in the form of 0 degree C-hubs and a high downforce front wing. Starting with the suspension parts, the castor hubs are machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and they come with a silver finish and laser-etched markings for easy identification. The hubs add stiffness and durability to the front end while allowing to adjust the steering characteristics for specific track conditions. Also new is the high downforce front wing. Designed to be mounted behind the front shock tower the wing will add extra front end downforce when needed. The wing comes made from clear polycarbonate and it will also fit other the buggies of other brands.
Coming from HRC Distribution’s HRC Racing brand are the TSW shock shaft pliers. Machined from high-quality aluminium and sporting a red anodised finish for wear and looks, the pliers help to attach or remove ballcups without damaging the shaft’s delicate surface. Five different size grooves fit the shock shafts of a multitude of scales including 1/12th, 1/10th and 1/8th.

UK Team Corally distributors X-Factory UK have released first official information on the forthcoming SSX8R and SSX8S 1/8th electric on-road kits. The SSX8 series utilises a simple rigid suspension design that does away with complicated adjustments without sacrificing on-track performance. The 4WD cars were designed for the use with 4S LiPo battery packs, they feature a ball-type front suspension, adjustable pivot damping, adjustable caster and camber settings, hardened steel driveshafts and delrin 32dp main gears. The difference between the SS8R and the SSX8S are the bulkhead, chassis and suspension materials with the SS8R coming with carbon fibre chassis and suspension parts beside a bunch of aluminium goodies while the SSX8S utilises a carbon fibre and G10 fibre glass chassis, G1o arms as well as composite plastic bulkheads. Both kits come without electronics, tyres or bodies but 1/8th nitro wheels and bodyshells are a direct fit on both the R and S variant.

Coming from SkyRC is the DC power distributor box with dual USB and triple banana-type outputs. Usable with 6V to 18VDC input the box multiples the outputs available from a power supply or dedicated charger, allowing to power mobile devices, pit lamps and more from a single power output at the same time. The box features two 5V/2.1A USB and triple banana/crocodile-type outputs and it is available in three variants with banana-type, DC male plug or XT60 plug connector harnesses.
Xray have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming NT1 2017 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit. As usual official details will not become available until the release that is scheduled for March and thus just in time for the new outdoor season.

Coming from Reedy is the Sonic 540-M3 25.5T ROAR spec brushless motor. Built to meet ROAR’s unique guidelines for 25.5 turn motors used in Formula and VTA racing classes, the motor’s resistance measures at the minimum legal value and it shares the same features list as the rest of the 540-M3 line. The M3 series utilises CNC-machined 3-piece cans, aluminium end caps, low-resistance, silver-plated solder tabs, optimised air cooling and dual precision ball bearings.
Reds Racing have introduced the all-new R5 Racer V4.0 nitro off-road engine. The R5R features a new 5-port sleeve and crankshaft timing for improved fuel efficiency and drivability and the sport-level engine also utilises the HCX horizontal carburettor, a tuned, silicone-filled crankshaft, a high-sealing front bearing and a chrome-steel rear ball race. The power plant comes hand-tuned by M. Rossi, it is hand- and compression-checked and suitable for both buggy and truggy racing alike.
