New from Tamiya and based on the F104 chassis is this 1/10th scale Wolf WR1 classic formula one chassis. Led by wealthy Canadian businessman owner Walter Wolf, the WR1 made its debut at the 1977 Argentine GP and started the race in 11th position. Driven by team driver Jody Scheckter, the WR1 went on to win the race and record the first ever win for the team. The 1977 season saw Jody Scheckter win three championship races and finish 2nd overall in the drivers championship.

New for the P81 series from Motonica is this two speed gearbox. The main feature of this new gearbox is its total weight, which is 14 grams lighter than the previous version resulting in a tangible benefit during acceleration. With its heritage built at the top of the racing world, the Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 chassis has undergone a complete regeneration. This model is based on the FS conversion kit and not the SP competition kit held in high regard by many competition drivers. The new layout features a 10mm longer wheelbase and the motor and spur gear are positioned as far forward as possible. This combines with the 3 by 3 battery layout to produce optimal weight distribution and results in ideal surface pressure from the tires for effective traction and sure-footed turning. The new Lazer ZX5 FS2 is the latest in the Lazer line of vehicles, which is a further development on this platform and should be available in June.

Tamiya have announced the release of this high-end drift machine, the TA05 VDF. This car adopts a front midship motor layout, motor within wheelbase, for optimum balance which is essential to drift driving. The upper frame features vertically mounted carbon plates which improve chassis rigidity while also providing enough flexibility during drifting. The parallel geometry steering system provides this machine with excellent control of counter steering. The especially designed battery holder is adjustable and is compatible with Ni-Cd, NiMh, LF batteries. Glass tape can also be used to secure the battery.

The Yokomo B-Max4 has received the factory treatment, upping performance and beefing up the car against crash damage. Included in this new package is the big bore X shock set, aluminium servo saver mount, aluminium center link, special front brace, aluminium main gear cover, special motor mount, advanced stabilizer set, aluminium rear hub carrier (0 degrees), aluminium shock cap ball, aluminium shock ended ball, carbon battery plate & rear X shock springs (Orange/software). This new version was used successfully to clinch the Japanese Championships although driver of the regular B-Max will need no convincing of it’s fantastic capabilities.
