Item Software Systems HUI Driver

Item Software Systems HUI Driver

New from Item Software Systems from Germany is software that not only supports the racers individual setup sheets but offers the possibility to attach the lap times directly to it. HUI driver comes with a special USB stopwatch that stores up to 500 laps which can be hooked up to your system and which imports these automatically. On tracks where the company’s race timing system is installed, transfer of lap times will be done automatically through WLAN based on the personal transponder number. Setup progress can be monitored step by step and as each scale has their own special features, these features will be available separately through plugins for the software. This first release is for 1:8 and 1:10 on road gas and has plugins for this scale such as overdrive calculation, tire wear calculation for each of the four tires individually, refueling strategy as well as race strategy simulation, based on all available data, including refueling and tire wear. You can see for yourself by downloading the demo version of HUI driver 1.0 here.

Nova Plus 21-4C LE Buggy engine

Nova Plus 21-4C LE Buggy engine

Novarossi’s Plus 4 Buggy engine has been very successful for the Italian company with a second place at the European Championship as well as winning the ROAR nationals in the USA. Aiming to further improve the engine the new Nova Plus 21-4C is the result of close collaboration between their factory drivers and the engineering department at Novarossi World S.r.l. Using the Plus 4 Buggy engine as a starting point they worked to improve the throttle response, lower fuel consumption and give it a better driveability by fitting a lighter tuned crankshaft in combination with a ceramic rear ball bearing. Note that the new Plus 21-4C is a limited edition of only 600 pieces and is available right away.

Kyosho Ultima SC – Sneak Peak

Kyosho Ultima SC Sneak peak

Kyosho have sent out a Sneak Peak of another new vehicle, following a previous sneak look at another new car last week. We have no further information on the new Ultima SC, but we can only presume from the SC and the silhouette of the car that this will be a new Short Course truck from the Japanese company, joining a host of other new entrants into this growing class. As it uses the Ultima name we believe it will be based heavily on the Ultima 2wd chassis and will therefore be a 2wd electric SC truck. We will keep you informed of any further information as we get it.

Xray Column – Title Celebration

Xray Column - Title Celebration

34th installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj talks about both the European Championships for 1/8th buggy in Austria and for 1/10th 200mm in Italy, the former seeing the team take the title.

We did it!” was the thought that screamed through my mind on the last Sunday of July, a fraction of a second after the finish of the 1/10 Nitro touring European Championship and after the first 6 cars passed over the finish line… all of them XRAY NT1 cars! Finally, the long and grueling work of everybody on the XRAY team has paid off, and afforded us a fabulous achievement. I am so unbelievably happy, satisfied, and proud it is simply bursting from me.
