Xray XT8 +5mm Offset Wheel axle

New from Xray, for the XT8 truggy, are these hard coated lightweight aluminium wheel axles with +5mm offset. Sold in a pair, and suitable for both the front and rear of the car, using these wheel axles will increase the overall track width by 10mm making the car more stable and easier to drive. Suggested for use with 0-offset wheels only.

Team Magic E4 Option parts

Team Magic have released some new option parts for their E4 Electric Touring car, beginning with this new front shock tower. Made from carbon fibre, and machined to lighten the part further, the new stiffer tower has four different shock mounting holes to adapt the shock angle to your driving style and track conditions to get the best performance out of your car. Also new is this front bulkhead upper mount, that has been machined from 7075 aluminium, to increase strength in this area as well as increase chassis stiffness.

HongNor X2 CRT Option parts

HongNor X2 CRT Option parts

HongNor have announced the release of a number of new optional parts for their X2 CRT 1/8th scale truggy chassis. First up is this front and rear set of CNC machined 7075 T6 center braces that helps stiffen up the whole chassis, while for extra performance there is a set of lightweight CVDs, as well as front and rear universal shafts. Less weight mean better acceleration and more revolutions, as well as lowering the overall weight of the car, which is always good.

Japanese off road specialist Team Azarashi have released the first pictures of their prototype Vaykal body shell, suitable for the 2wd X-Factory X-6. Featuring some very aggressive styling, the new shell is still being finalised and no fixed date has been given for its release.

Team Magic B8 Buggy testing video

We were informed last weekend about this video of the all new Team Magic B8 buggy, which was seen testing at a track in Spain, but when we linked to it the video had disappeared. Well as you can see its now back and shows the Taiwanese company’s latest buggy project being put through its paces. According to Team Magic the B8 is a completely new concept and is not a replacement for the M8, which will continue to be produced. Expect the buggy to be released around early September.

Worrying about battery life in long main events or consecutive bump-ups is a thing of the past. And turning over a hard-to-start nitro engine becomes much easier with a high-torque starter-box battery. To operate receivers and servos with 7.4 LiPo batteries, install the optional heavy-duty 5V regulator. It easily fits with the battery in the radio box, and prevents damage to gear that should not be exposed to more than 5 volts. A new 1800mAh 7.4V battery specifically for Micro cars replaces 7.2V NiMH stick packs. Rated at 20C, it is capable of powering the very hottest 1:18 scale motors to incredible speeds.
