Team GFRP 2026 High Bite Sprint Car Kit

Indiana based dirt oval specialist manufacturer Team GFRP has released its latest Sprint Car kit, the 2026 High Bite Sprint Car. The HBS kit features a newly designed chassis plate for optional stiffness with the new three post molded cage.  A laid in front shock tower paired with small bore bladder shocks now comes stock in the kit to compliment the new cage and wing mount.  The 2026 HBS has kept the dual bell crank steering platform, but has updated to 70mm molded arms and a new style caster block to allow a better steering response.  A droop bulkhead comes stock in the kit to allow for optional droop plate.  The rear shock tower has doubled its options for mounting the rear shocks to allow for more tuning.  The 2025 Laydown transmission with its 39T idler gear appropriates less wear and more smooth power delivery and new transmission diff height adjusters allow changes the geometry of the dog bones.  The transmission changes are integrated with new 0/3 toe blocks, and a lighter rear camber link mount to adjust for more track conditions.  The kit also features the GFRP springs and lowered spring cups to enable a better baseline for the car.

MyRCM Race Timing App

So Dialed Racetech, a California company dedicated to helping RC enthusiasts through innovative mobile apps, has released the official mobile app for well known worldwide timing platform MyRCM.  The app was created in partnership with RC-Timing, the Swiss based company founded by Felix Romer, and which is leading provider of RC, through MyRCM, and Kart race timing software in Europe.  MyRCM by So Dialed allows drivers and spectators to effortlessly track the European RC racing scene in real-time.  Key features include a comprehensive event view in which drivers can easily view events happening now, check upcoming events, and review completed events from around the world, and they can filter by country, race type, and track type so they only see the races they care about.  You can also view detailed results and participation.  Live Race Tracking supports live scoring with drivers able to see real-time results and follow race standings and lap times as they happen.  MyRCM by So Dialed is available for download on Android and iOS devices:

TITC to revert to ‘Classic Layout’ due to concerns over new layout

With just over 2-weeks to go to the 22nd running of the famous TITC (12-15 Feb) in Bangkok, host track RC Addict has announced a revised track layout due to safety and track flow concerns around the layout they had prepared for the 2026 edition.  Have created an anti-clock wise layout that featured a very short back straight, today they have published that the layout will revert to a ‘classic layout’ in the clockwise direction featuring a full length straight.  In announcing the revised layout RC Addict posted, ‘Due to safety and race flow concerns combined with local and international popular demands, the TITC 2026 layout will be changed for the Addict Classic Layout Clockwise direction.  Since we didn’t race it for a very long time, let’s bring it back this year.  Thanks for your understanding and support.  See you at the track soon!’.

Project RC MRX7 Alu Brake Lever

Italian brand Project RC has introduced this aluminium brake lever for the recently released Mugen MRX7 1:8 Onroad kit.  Also compatible with the previous MRX6, the brake lever delivers a performance upgrade due to its higher rigidity compared to the stock plastic part.  CNC-machined from high-grade aluminium and finished with a black anodised coating and polished edges, this brake lever delivers increased braking precision and more direct & consistent brake response.

SOTA RC 1:10 Offroad Shock System

Following on from the launch of its Patent pending cutting-edge innovation Position Sensitive Damping System for 1:8 Offroad, Australia’s SOTA RC Products has unveiled a new 1:10 Offroad Shock System.  Set to be available mid February, the 1:10 system is not a resized version of their 1:8 offering but a new design from Sota RC’s Matt Austin.  Describing the 1:10 system as a new benchmark in RC shock piston design, while they may look unconventional the piston delivers a level of damping control and tuning depth previously reserved for full-scale motorsport.  Compatible with 13 mm bore shocks (AE, Schumacher, SWORKz, TLR, and others using the AE-style design), key highlights include modular design enabling tunable multi-curve damping with more than five blended damping regimes.  Designed for beginners and advanced racers alike, you can configurable shim stacks for low-, mid-, and high-speed control – and beyond.  The Sota system also provides progressive shim engagement from ~100 mm/s through to >1 m/s shaft velocity.  It has true full port closure with complete shim coverage when engaged.  You get adjustable damping force from subtle control to over 50 kg.  View video presentation/technical explanation here.

Chinese tyre and accessories manufacturer VP-Pro, who recently announced the signing of leading offroad racer Berkan Kilic, has release this universal body shell for 1:8 Buggy.  Its design features an integrated shark fin on the cab and helps add stability and increases high speed handling.  It’s low-slung design also features a laid-back windshield and long centre fin for better stability and side bite.  Made from high-quality clear polycarbonate with protective film and available in lightweight 0.8mm thickness, the body comes with window masks for painting and official VP-Pro decals.
