Team Associated B74 Team Kit 4WD buggy

Following a couple of prototype images, Team Associated have introduced their all-new B74 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit. The off-road RC car racing scene has taken a turn over the past couple years, with turf and carpet racing becoming more popular and grip levels at an all-time high. The engineers inside Team Associated’s Area 51 were quick to address this trend in the 4WD class with the RC10B74 Team Kit. This completely new chassis design, equipped with a long list of features, is designed to give you the winning edge. Competition levels are more extreme than ever, with several manufacturers producing competitive racing platforms. The RC10B74 was designed with focus on performance and durability. New features like the easy-access, quick-change differential height make tuning for different track surfaces and ride heights quicker than ever. 7075-T6 aluminum bulkheads and arm mounts provide precision and durability, while the updated shocks with increased stroke length allow for more consistent jumping and landing. Also included, an all new rear hub assembly with a modular vertical ball stud mount and axle height insert system to allow the finest roll center adjustments possible. X-Grip multi-functional pliers

European X-Grip distributors Mikimodel have introduced new multi-functional pliers that are ideal for nearly all scales of RC cars. Machined from 7075 aluminium and coming black anodised for wear and durability, the tool can be used to hold shock shafts while attaching ball cups, it allows to measure screw lengths, indicate screw or wire diameters, mount balls and ball cups and many more.

Axial Yeti Jr. alloy & steel optionals

Axial have introduced a range of aluminium and steel option parts for their Yeti Jr. off-road vehicle. The alloy parts include steering knuckles, C-hub carriers, a steering rack set, rear axle shafts, as well as rear axle lockers. All are made of high-quality 6061 aluminium and they come hard-anodised for improved wear and looks. Laser-etched Axial logos make the parts stand out. As for the steel items, Axial rolls out 48.5mm front axle shafts as well as a rear driveline. The shafts are machined from durable steel and they come with a hard surface finish for durability. All of the above parts are direct replacements for the standard items and they add strength, precision and last but not least visual impact.

Team Associated FT 4-shoe adjustable clutch

Team Associated have introduced their new Factory Team 4-shoe clutch system for the RC8B3 series and most other 1/8th scale off-road buggies and truggies. After the 2016 1/8th scale World Championships, the AE engineers began working on an idea to make their clutch system more easily adaptable to changing track conditions. After months of prototyping and testing, they came up with a patent-pending design that gives racers the ability to adjust the tension of the clutch springs – without having to remove the clutch and change springs. In fact, the engine doesn’t even need to be removed from the chassis to make the adjustment. The adjustment is done with a single set screw that engages with a spring cam. By loosening or tightening a set screw in the flywheel, the spring cam rotates within the flywheel to adjust the tension on the springs. This means racers can make quick adjustments while in the pit lane.

Reflex Racing roll out new TC7.2 optionals

Coming from Reflex Racing are several new optionals for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car. First up is the bumper brace kit that includes a hard, wide front bumper. The set protect the car from hard boards and collisions. Wider and thicker than the standard bumper, the bumper can save the chassis in the event of a hard crash as especially when running indoors, the car’s front suspension is far more protected than with the stock parts.

Xray GTXE 1/8th electric GT kit – Coming soon

Xray have announced the soon release of their new GTXE 1/8th electric GT kit. No official details are available yet but it is understood that the vehicle will feature many of the updates the recent GTX8 nitro kit received for 2019 – sans the nitro-specific upgrade of course. Full details about the kit will become available soon.

Capricorn C8SR height adjustable front hubs

Capricorn have introduced a new height adjustable front hub set for their C8SR 1/8th stock on-road kit. The system allows to access 0mm, 0.75mm and 1.5mm ride height settings that help to fine-tune ground clearance when the front tyre diameter changes. The set includes new front hubs, machined hub inserts, ball races as well as four 0.75mm ride height shims that will be sandwiched between the upper and lower arms and the pivot ball mounts.
