Avid Aura Revolution ball bearings

Avid have introduced their new Aura Revolution line of oiled, tight tolerances steel ball bearings. Categorised as a budget-minded performance bearing and because it is oiled and has slightly higher tolerances than Avis’s greased Halo line, the bearing will perform almost as well as the compnany’s high-end Aura Ceramics but at more than half the cost. It is designed for the highly competitive racer that wants to have an edge but does so much racing that spending the money on the Aura Ceramic’s isn’t always practical. The bearing comes in Avid’s Revolution seal, which is a rubber seal on one side and metal on the other and they are made with Chromium Steel races because the surface finish is smoother than other materials such as Stainless Steel. This results in less noise and better performance. The bearings are now available in Avid’s famous FlexKit software, allowing to build customised packs for nearly every application.

Xray XB2 DIV front wing

Coming from Xray and made for their XB2 series of buggies is the DIV front wing. Moulded from high-quality Lexan material the wing is of a multi-purpose design, allowing to mount it in front or behind the front tower and thus front axles, with the mounting positions having an influence on weight distribution, centre of gravity as well as downforce. Pre-marked dimples help with easy and straight attachment while different gurney heights help to fine-tune aerodynamics.

RC-Project titanium clutch retainer screw

Coming from RC-Project is a titanium clutch retainer screw for off-road style clutches. Machined from certified Grade 5 6Al4V titanium the screw is 8.5mm long and due to its design the screw head protrudes only 2.5mm which allows for greater clearance towards the fuel tank, ensuring greater security in case of excessive chassis flex. The design also eliminates any rubbing issues between the screw head and the clutch bearing, reducing operation temperatures and the chance of ball bearing failures while the screw’s large outer diameter offers protection against dust and debris. The screw is usable with most 1/8th off-road and many single speed GT clutches. The screws are available separately, as 2-piece or 5-piece packages.
