JConcepts ET410 Finnisher truck body shell

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Tekno ET410 1/10th scale 4WD truck is a dedicated Finnisher body shell. One of the latest classes to hit the scene is the 1/10th truggy class and Tekno has been leading edge in this department with the release of the ET410. JC’s Finnisher body incorporates pre-dimpled locations for the ET410 and it features a slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance to highlight a performance oriented core. A wide front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for the unique shock geometry and the body incorporates a large centre fin which begins on the roof line and finishes just past the half-way point on the bed. Chin spoiler, headlight and grille protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight while the supplied decals stand-out like an 18 wheeler. The Finnisher has a built-in air escape passage on the roof which allows the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum outdoor performance. The new body is produced with name plates which provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement. Each body comes with window masks, decal sheet, and rear S-Type wing.

TLR 8ight X-E 1/8th electric buggy kit

Coming soon from TLR is the 8ight-XE 1/8th electric buggy kit. It makes use of most of the features the nitro-powered 8ight-X buggy has to offer, such as an improved suspension geometry that has been completely revamped, making a car that is fast, nimble, and easy to drive. This includes a myriad of updates including aluminium spindles, 17.5-degree spindle carriers, longer front shocks, wider front pivot with less scrub radius, narrower rear pivot, longer rear shocks, and updated hub offset. The rear shocks can be mounted in front or behind the rear shock tower to adjust weight bias and new front and rear diff cases allow for better diff access. The buggy also features a more traditional “wide” style chassis that increases stability, balance and gives the buggy a more neutral feel. This also allows for the component’s to be spread out instead of cramped together as with a narrow style chassis making maintenance a breeze. The XE also features an over-sized pinion bearing in the front and rear of the buggy for increased strength and durability. This allows for a smoother, more reliable and hassle-free driveline.

Dash RC RS-Tune brushless motor series

Dash have announced the all new RS-Tune series of “outlaw” competition brushless motors. The new generation features a high airflow arrow design with large openings in the machined aluminium can to guarantee maximum cooling efficiency, a lower weight and minimised power fading in high ambient temperatures. The redesigned stator helps to achieve a much lower internal resistance, increasing in torque which enhances the overall performance. The RS-Tune motors are specially designed for most Asian stock racing classes as they are already equipped with a standard (V2RSS123) rotor, that keeps them within the KV and Amps requirements. The motors are available in 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T specification.

RPM Revo 2.0 body savers

Coming from RPM and made for the Traxxas Revo 2.0 is a set of body savers. The set is a simple yet clever solution to prevent the lid from cracking around the body mount holes. RPM disguise the body savers in two separate ways. Out front, they look like moulded hood vents while in the rear, they look like exposed sections of a roll cage. It’s a perfect way to camouflage their intended purpose and yet still keep the body firmly attached. The way they work is straightforward; there are two pairs of screws holding the sub-frame of the body mounting system to the body in both the front and rear of the truck. The body savers tie two pairs of screws together, dispersing the pressure of holding the body to the sub-frame over a wide area of the body. Even if the bottom of the mounting holes in the body are completely ripped out from prior crashes, the system still works. The reinforcements are moulded in black from RPM’s ultra strong, engineering grade nylons for performance and are sold with four body savers in each kit.
