RB Speed 21 nitro on-road engine

Made for competition 1/8th on-road racing is RB’s new Speed 21 engine. Offering a 7+2 port design, 14mm crankshaft and a reinforced crankcase the long stroke engine also comes with a light yet strong competition conrod and turbo combustion camber insert. Other features include an 8mm nylon carburettor and a balanced 14mm bi-turbo crankshaft. New for 2014 is a redesigned orange anodized cooling head and the engine is available separately or including an EFRA 2092 in-line exhaust.

Daniele Ielasi joins RB factory team

RB announce the latest signing to their factory team in the form of former World, European and multiple Italian champion Daniele Ielasi. Daniele will use the company’s .12 and .21 engines in his 2014 on-road campaign that will include the 1/8th and 1/10th scale Italian championships, the Euro Nitro Series, the 1/8th Euros and the 1/8th SuperGT Euros.

RB have two new nitro airfilter foam sets for the RB One as well as the MBX7 and the XB8 available. The foam pieces offer improved airflow and a high degree of filtration to maximise performance and airflow. Included are 12 inner and 12 outer foams per set.

RB introduce their new Energy line of hardcase LiPo battery packs. Available in several configurations including a 4S 7000mAh 75C and 4S 6200mAh 70C “1/8th” pack, a 2S 7000mAh 75C and 2S 5200mAh 45C standard length straight pack, a 2S 5300mAh 75C saddle pack as well as a 2S 3000mAh 40C pack which is ideal for RTR cars and starter boxes, all batteries come in a matte black protective hardcase with chrome RB sticker. All batteries, except the ones with bullet-type tube connectors, are pre-wired with high-current Deans T-type connectors.

RB CXR SLS super long stoke 9-port engines

RB continue to update their line of nitro engines and now introduce the CXR SLS9 super long stroke 9-port .21 on-road offering. First up is the SLS9 with 9-port liner, Multi Exhaust System technology and a CNC-machined piston. The engine furthermore features a 14.5mm turbo crankshaft with balancing weights, internal grinding and silicone insert. The 14.5mm main bearing is a ceramic ball race while the 6-ball front bearing is a standard steel type. The 3-needle carburettor comes with 8.5mm and 9mm venturi inserts and the engine is equipped with low profile cooling head and an O-ring sealed turbo combustion camber insert. Also new and building on the SLS9 is the SLSDI9 with direct intake technology for an even higher power output. The DI variant otherwise comes with the same features as the standard SLS9 engine and both are available separately or as combo sets including 2092 or 2015 in-line exhaust sets. The latter is specially designed for high-speed tracks and fits with RB’s short and medium manifolds for additional tuning possibilities.

RB TXR long stoke .12 engines

French company RB not only have new buggy engines to offer but also two updated .12 TXR engines. First up is the TXR LS3 long stroke, a 3-port engine with lightened 11.9mm turbo crank shaft, competition conrod, 11.9mm main bearing and an O-ring sealed turbo combustion camber insert. The 1/10th 200mm engine also features an aluminium slide carburettor with composite insulator and a 5.48mm venturi insert. The same engine is also available with a bi-balanced, lightened and silicone filled crankshaft and a ceramic main bearing, to extract an even higher performance. Both the standard and the bi-balanced version are available as engine only or including an EFRA2668 in-line pipe.

New RB BXR long stroke buggy engines

RB introduce their new line of BXR .21 long-stroke off-road engines. All of them feature a CNC-machined piston, lightened 14.5mm turbo crankshaft, turbo combustion camber insert with O-ring, dust-protected front bearings, a lightweight low CG cooling head and a 9mm composite carburettor with 6mm, 7mm and 8mm venturi inserts. First up is the BXR SLSDI5 super long stroke engine. Featuring a 5+2 port MES technology liner and RB’s direct intake system the engine offers increased throttle response and top speed making it ideal for tight high-grip tracks that also have long straights. The engine is made for the use in buggies and truggies.

Updated RB on-road and off-road nitro fuel

French company RB introduce their updated nitro fuel range that is now mixed using the latest generation lubricants and additives for improved performance and reduced friction within the engine. The new viscosity optimises fuel consumption and improves the reliability at high pressures and temperatures. RB also did away with the orange colourant the fuel was known for to avoid any efficiency decreasing residue. The updated fuel is available in several 16% and 25% pre-running, buggy and on-road variants with a 30% buggy fuel being available also.
