RC Concept have confirmed Philip Atondo as team driver for 2017. In 2016, Philip was more than happy with the RC Concept engine line, he found what he was always looking for: power, stability, longevity and stability. Philip will travel to all major USA events in 2017 and will be able to support all drivers.

RC Concept have announced the signing of Australian Off-road frontrunner, Ben Sterling. Ben is well known around the world and brings in some 16 years of knowledge in the industry. The 2016 Victorian State Titles holder will work together with the Australian RC Concept distributor to support all RC Concept users in Australia and he had this to say:

Firstly I would like to thank Alpha for the past 3 years. It has been an absolute pleasure working with them and evolving their company and product. RC Concept MC5R Team limited edition engine

With the 2016 IFMAR Nitro Buggy World Championships around the corner, RC Concept have introduced their latest MC5R Team limited edition engine. Made to the exact same specifications as the all-out factory team engines that the likes of Reno Savoya and Lee Martin will campaign in Las Vegas, the Team spec power plants will feature a lighter and DLC-coated crankshaft, a high-performance ceramic rear bearing and they come factory run-in by RC Concept. The engine comes including RC Concept’s 2133 pipe set, with an updated cooling head design compared to the images shown and it is limited to 100 pieces world-wide.

RC Concept MC3R nitro off-road engine

French company RC Concept have introduced their all-new MC3R nitro off-road engine. Building on the MC5R the MC3R offers a smoother powerband and better fuel consumption, making it an ideal all-round engine. The hand-assembled power plant comes with a new carburettor for improved runtime and more mid-range power, it features a matching sleeve and piston, a silicone-filled and balanced crankshaft, rear ceramic bearing and it comes including a new 8mm as well as a 7mm venturi insert. Included with the engine, that sports a new silver-colour cooling head with for improved temperature management, also comes a #5 RC Concept glowplug.

Lee Martin successful at 3rd Annual Mugen Challenge

Lee Martin successful at 3rd Annual Mugen Challenge

The 3rd Annual Mugen Challenge was held this past weekend in Reims, France. Classes run would be Nitro and Electric Buggy and Truggy as well as GT and 1/8th On-road. Following a wet practice on Friday the qualifiers would be held on Saturday and it was Lee Martin who TQ’d round one and two to take the overall TQ in front of Spain’s Robert Batlle. The finals would be held in an electric triple mains format and it was again Lee who dominated the proceedings and with wins in A1 and A2 he took the overall victory from Robert Batlle and US boy Adam Drake.
