Reedy Blackbox 510R competition brushless ESC

Reedy have introduced their new Blackbox 510R brushless speed controller. Housed in a black anodised aluminium case with integrated heatsink the ESC features an adjustable standard or high-voltage BEC system, RPM and ESC temp data logging, an on-board power button as well as fully adjustable brake, throttle, power and safety functions. With the help of the PROgrammer2 box the controller’s software functions can be fully exploded and as an addition the box operates also as a battery monitor and USB firmware update device. The 510R ESC includes two modes that can be modified and saved independently from one another. The standard mode offers a wide variety of tuning options while the expert mode takes it one step further and opens additional options for more experienced racers and/or racing classes that can take advantage of these more complex settings.

Reedy 540-SL4 sensorless brushless motor

Coming from Reedy is the 540-SL4 sensorless brushless motor for ready-to-run vehicles. Due to its 4-pole configuration, the motor offers high power, efficiency and reliability as it is needed for demanding RTR applications. The 3300kV rating provides plenty of speed with 2S LiPo batteries but installing a 3S LiPo battery makes for even higher speeds. At the same time does a high-strength rotor provide plenty of torque and resists overheating better than 2-pole alternatives. The motor comes pre-wired with flexible silicone wires that ease wire routing in tight spaces and work in conjunction with 3.5mm bullet connectors to reduce power-robbing resistance and heat. The package is rounded out by triple insulated windings, a hardened steel shaft, and oversized ball bearings.

Reedy LiPo battery weight set updated

After making some updates, the Reedy LiPo battery weight set is back in stock. These weights have been modified (now 22g and 36g) with the value laser etched onto each piece along with the world-famous Reedy Powered logo. These weights can be used together or separately under your low-profile shorty LiPo battery to add ballast and/or lower the vehicle’s CG for improved handling. Each set is precision cut from brass and contains one .5mm (22g) weight and one 1mm (36g) weight, which can be used together or separately.

Reedy Zappers Hi-Voltage Modified Shorty LiPo

Reedy’s new high voltage Shorty Zappers are here. Perfect for use in modified classes, a 7.6 nominal voltage means that with a suitable charger, the battery can be safely charged to 8.7V (4.35V/cell) and its no secret that more voltage equals more power, so there is no easier way to achieve a performance advantage than a higher charge voltage. A 70C rating reduces initial punch for modified class racers while still producing a flatter discharge curve to close the power gap between the beginning and end of a race. Available in 5400mAh and 5800mAh versions, a high quality, durable hard case helps prevent damage while heavy-duty 5mm socket connectors keeps power-robbing resistance to a minimum. A charge lead and 5mm ESC connectors are included.

Reedy Zappers LiHV & LiPo shorty battery packs

Reedy have announced the release of their new Zappers high-performance LiHV and LiPo battery packs. At 7.6V the LiHV pack offers a higher voltage than the standard 7.4V pack, meaning increased performance during bashing or when racing “outlaw” classes. The battery can be safely charged to 8.7V and even when the typical 8.4V charging limit is enforced, the battery still offers a significant advantage thanks to a flatter discharge curve, which results in more voltage deeper into the race. Available as 4800mAh 7.6V LiHV and also as 4400mAh 7.4V standard LiPo pack, both make use of 5mm bullet-type connectors with the standard voltage pack built to meet ROAR, EFRA, BRCA and IFMAR specifications.

Reedy 324-S compact balance charger & LiPo combos

Team Associated have introduced three new combo packages around the Reedy 324-S compact balance charger. The device can handle 2S to 4S LiPo and LiFe battery packs and it offers selectable charge rates of 1A to 3A with an internal balancer making for easy and secure operation. The mains charger is usable with 100V to 240V input and it is available with a range of Wolfpack hardcase LiPo batteries including a 2S 3300mAh, 3S 4500mAh and 4S 4000mAh variant.

Reedy HV digital low-profile servos

Reedy have introduced two new high-voltage digital low-profile servos. Developed with both touring cars and 1/10th buggy racing in mind, the RS0806 LP (0.06s/8.3kg-cm) and RT1408 LP (0.08s/14.3kg-cm) offer precision metal gears, powerful motors and aluminium middle cases for fade-free performance. High-voltage compatibility means that increased ESC BEC output voltage can be used without fear of damaging sensitive internal components. Both servos also offer a stealthy black appearance with black receiver leads and they make use of standard 25T spline servo arms.
