Reedy WolfPack LiPo batteries

Reedy’s new WolfPack LiPo batteries meet the performance demands of both the casual enthusiast and the club racer. Generous discharge capabilities increase overall power and top speed while high capacities extend run times far beyond what is capable with NiMH batteries or lower-quality LiPo batteries. Each battery features Reedy’s molded hard case for maximum crash protection in sizes that fit the most popular car configurations. High quality cell manufacturing and construction techniques result in reliable operation and maximum cycle-life. Unlike some brands that utilize power-robbing ‘universal’ plugs, these batteries come equipped with beefy silicone wires and a low-resistance Deans Ultra Plug connector. An integrated balancing harness with a JST-XH connector is included.

Reedy 2S charge harness

Balance charging LiPo batteries is one of the best ways to prolong the life of your LiPo battery and achieve maximum performance. Reedy now offers two charge harnesses for balance charging 2S batteries with 4mm socket connectors. The Standard version is equipped with two 4mm connectors and one 2mm connector while the Saddle pack version is equipped with four 4mm connectors. Both feature a JST-XH balance connector and 12 gauge silicone wires which can be equipped with a plug compatible with your favorite charger.

Reedy 60C Competition LiPo Batteries

Reedy have announced the arrival of 60C competition LiPo batteries for the 2011 racing season. Competition tested and proven by top drivers Juho Levanen, Keven Hébert, Rick Hohwart and Christer Andersson, these all-new batteries feature high capacity for maximum duration and dimensions that fall within the specs required by international sanctioning bodies (approvals in process). Each battery features Reedy’s molded hard case and industry-standard 4mm socket connectors to minimize resistance and increase power. A pair of connectors is included with each battery. The saddle pack battery also includes a 12-gauge jumper wire with pre-installed 4mm connectors.

Reedy 121VR-ST Competition Nitro Engine

The long-awaited Reedy 121VR-ST Competition Nitro Engine has finally arrived. Extensively track-tested by Reedy factory drivers such as Ryan Maifield, Craig Drescher, Neil Cragg and Richard Saxton, the VR-ST incorporates state-of-the-art features in a proven package. The current 121VR engine has proven to be an economically priced, powerful race engine, but the 121VR-ST takes performance to an entirely new level with the addition of a balanced ADLC-coated crankshaft, ceramic rear bearing, lightweight piston and ADLC coated wrist pin. An ultra-lightweight heatsink head with ‘diamond cut’ fins improves cooling while lowering the center of gravity. Ryan Maifield extends deal with Associated, Reedy & LRP

Just a week ahead of the 1/8th scale buggy World Championships, Team Associated have announced that Ryan Maifield has extended his contract which sees him continue with Associated, Reedy and LRP products. Over the years, Maifield has won countless titles, including multiple ROAR National Championships in a wide variety of categories, including 1:8 Gas Buggy, 1:8 Electric Buggy, 1:8 Gas Truggy, 2WD Electric Truck, 2WD Short Course and 4WD Electric Buggy. When asked about his re-signing, Maifield had this to say:

Team Associated has been behind me since the beginning of my racing career, and during the highs and lows they have always been supportive and constructive. I have many friends at Associated that are 100% committed to me and the products they produce, so it was a no-brainer when it came to sign a new contract to stay with the company that has been there through it all. I want to thank everyone at Team Associated and all the Team Associated customers for their support. I’ll see you at the track soon with my Reedy- and LRP-powered Associated vehicles.

Team Manager, Brent Thielke, and long-time friend of Ryan, had this to say about the re-signing: “All of us here at Team Associated are excited to continue our relationship with Ryan.
