Reedy 3200mAh 11.1V LiPo pack

For the ultimate in power and top speed, Reedy is excited to announce an all-new 11.1V 20C LiPo battery for enthusiasts that believe you can never have too much power. More voltage equals more power and higher top speeds and you can easily increase power and speed by swapping out a 7.2V NiMH or 7.4V LiPo battery and replacing it with this 11.1V LiPo battery. This high-power battery pack is designed specifically for use in R/C cars and trucks and a unique hard case design helps protect the battery from damage. Integrated locking nubs simulate sub-C cell profiles to allow the battery to be easily installed in a slotted touring car chassis and by simply flipping the battery over, you have a perfect installation for off-road vehicles. To reduce resistance and increase power, Reedy’s 11.V 20C LiPo battery comes equipped with TRA connector and 12AWG wires.

Associated Big bores & Reedy engine

Associated RC8 Big bore shocks

Seen at this weeks ROAR 1/8th scale buggy Nationals at Thunder Alley in Beaumont, California, are these big bore shock absorbers on the Associated RC8. Currently being used by the factory team at this race, they are close to release pending some final parts getting produced. Also seen on some of the team cars, is new steering geometry, which combined with the new shocks increase corner speed and improve rough track handling. New from Reedy is a yet unnamed proprietary .21 engine in the final stages of testing and is being run by Rick Hohwart and Scott Brown at this event.

Reedy have released two new high‐performance LiPo batteries, available in a 4800mAh 20C saddle pack configuration and 3200mAh 11.1V hard cased stick pack. The saddle pack has been designed specifically for installation in the Team Associated B44 and other competition level 4WD chassis’ and is the perfect choice for the racer who wants to enjoy the power, run time, and durability advantage of LiPo batteries. The 3200mAh pack is an all‐new 11.1V 20C LiPo battery for enthusiasts that believe you can never have too much power. More voltage equals more power and higher top speeds. Reedy EU Spec IB4600 cells

Reedy have released their new EU Spec IB4600, meeting the shorter length specification of 43mm, which have been treated and matched using the Reedy VMX Concept. This process makes these cells even better by applying an intense energy pulse to new IB4600 EU Spec NiMH cells using high-tech equipment designed in house by their engineering staff. The end results of this exclusive process are reduced internal resistance, increased voltage output, and more power. These enhanced cells are cycled then power-matched using a 35-amp discharge a process that eliminates weak cells and those that do not fall within the exclusive percentage that are good enough to be hand selected as Reedy VMX R-46 grade. Available in 5 or 6 cell sets.

Reedy Spec-19 Quad Mag Motor

Reedy will soon come out with this new 19-turn Spec Motor. Its been designed specifically for all classes of electric spec-class racing, from off and on-road to oval tracks and touring cars. It uses the Krypton’s trend-setting four-magnet can, standard-sized commutator, laydown brushes, distinctive bright orange endbell and more. Available in late April.

Toy Fair – Team Associated

On the Associated stand this year is the new 1/12th scale, the RC12R which was first spotted at the races a few weeks ago. It will be sold only as a link car and for the traditionalists who want a T-bar setup, this option will also be available. Hot from the manufacturers and only just seen by the boys at Associated themselves is the new hard cased LiPo packs that we mentioned previously. A solid structure, they are lightweight, have good capacity and the pack sports the Reedy logo on the top and bottom, with the bottom featuring additional indents to place it into the battery slots.
