Reedy have released a new version of the popular Wolfpack 3600mAh battery pack which is now available in a version featuring a whopping 9.6V of pure power. Assembled using Reedy’s 3600mAH high-tech SC-R cells in a configuration that drops straight into the Traxxas Slash, it comes supplied with a Traxxas High-Current Connector to deliver power to the ESC with less resistance and heat than ever before. Reedy has confirmed that Team Associated Factory Driver Ryan Maifield has signed to race Reedy’s all‐new .21 competition nitro engine for the remainder of the 2008 season and beyond. Input from a driver of Ryan’s caliber is instrumental in the development of an engine suitable for World Class competition. In Ryan’s first race with his new powerplant, the 2008 Summer Nitrofest at The Farm 2, he qualified on pole position and nearly led wire‐to‐wire to win in convincing fashion. Because The Farm 2 is the host of the 2008 IFMAR World Championships later this year, Maifield becomes an early favourite for the coveted title.

A broad selection of Reedy LiPo batteries is now available to power servos and receivers, transmitters, and starter boxes. Worrying about battery life in long main events or consecutive bump-ups is a thing of the past. And turning over a hard-to-start nitro engine becomes much easier with a high-torque starter-box battery. To operate receivers and servos with 7.4 LiPo batteries, install the optional heavy-duty 5V regulator. It easily fits with the battery in the radio box, and prevents damage to gear that should not be exposed to more than 5 volts. Associated Big bores & Reedy engine

Associated RC8 Big bore shocks

Seen at this weeks ROAR 1/8th scale buggy Nationals at Thunder Alley in Beaumont, California, are these big bore shock absorbers on the Associated RC8. Currently being used by the factory team at this race, they are close to release pending some final parts getting produced. Also seen on some of the team cars, is new steering geometry, which combined with the new shocks increase corner speed and improve rough track handling. New from Reedy is a yet unnamed proprietary .21 engine in the final stages of testing and is being run by Rick Hohwart and Scott Brown at this event.
