Reedy Zappers SG2 competition LiHV 4S batteries

Team Associated have announced the released of the new Reedy Zappers SG2 competition LiHV 4S battery packs. Zappers SG2 batteries continue to utilise silicon-graphene construction but with an emphasis on reducing internal resistance and increasing cycle life. They also feature HV chemistry, which means that with a suitable charger, the battery can be safely charged to 4.35V per cell. However, even when the typical 4.2V per cell charging limit is enforced, the batteries still offer advantagew thanks to a flatter discharge curve, which results in more voltage deeper into the race. The batteries are available in two versions: as 5200mAh low-profile variant (138×46.8×38.2/472g) for improved handling and as 6400mAh high-capacity (138×46.8×47.5/542g)for conditions that require maximum run time. A high-quality durable hard case helps prevent damage while embedded socket connectors keep power-robbing resistance to a minimum. Male ESC connectors and a 4S balance lead are included.

Reedy Sonic S-Plus Torque motors

Team Associated have announced that select versions of the Reedy Sonic S-Plus motors are now available featuring a unique high-torque stator. These high-torque models are perfectly suited for high-grip on- and off-road conditions and tracks with short run-ups to critical jumps. Both 17.5 and 21.5 versions are available as well as an all-new 10.5 version. The current S-Plus 13.5 motor is already equipped with the high-torque stator and remains unchanged.

Reedy RC2312 HV digital competition crawler servo

Team Associated have introduced the Reedy RC2312 HV digital crawler servo. Trail-tested and engineered for use in competition-level trail trucks and crawlers, the powerful motor creates incredible torque without sacrificing speed, while an advanced microprocessor provides precision steering control. An all-metal gear set is designed for strength and durability while an integrated aluminium mid-case reduces operating temperatures for fade-free operation. The soft-centring function centres the servo slowly on power-up for scale appearance and steering system damage prevention. High voltage compatibility allows users to take advantage of external BEC units.

Reedy W19 hooded pullover

Reedy Sonic S-Plus 25.5 motor

Reedy’s Sonic S-Plus motor is now available in a version that meets ROAR’s unique guidelines for 25.5 turn motors typically used in Formula and VTA racing classes. Maximum power output is achieved thanks to near-minimum resistance measurements and a high-strength balanced rotor. In addition to increased power output, reduced weight improves handling and chassis-turning flexibility. Additionally, the motor’s length has been shortened by more than 2mm, which aids left/right balance and moves mass towards the centre of the chassis. Finally, precision stainless steel ball bearings have been fitted to accommodate high RPM loads with exceptional efficiency and reliability.

Reedy roll out new HV digital brushless servos

Coming from Reedy are their new HV digital brushless servos. Race-proven and engineered for use in competition-level RC cars and trucks, their powerful brushless motors create exceptional torque and speed while an advanced microprocessor provides precision vehicle control. The precision gear set is designed for strength and durability while the integrated aluminium mid-case reduces operating temperatures for fade-free operation. The RT2706A (0.06s/26.3kg-cm) also features an all-aluminium case to stand up to the performance demands of 1:8 racing. Also available are the RT2406 (0.06s/23.3kg-cm), RT1709 LP (0.09s/16.1kg-cm) and the RS1306 LP (0.0s/12.2kg-cm). All are high-voltage compatible and they come with all-black receiver wires for a factory look.

The Zappers SG2 batteries continue to utilise silicon-graphene construction but with an emphasis on reducing internal resistance and increasing cycle life. The batteries feature a 7.6 nominal voltage, meaning that with a suitable charger, the battery can be safely charged to 4.35V/cell. However, even when the typical 8.40V (4.2V/cell) charging limit is enforced, Zappers SG2 still offers a significant advantage thanks to a flatter discharge curve, which results in more voltage deeper into the race. Zappers SG2 batteries are available in low-profile (LP) stick and shorty versions as well as a 1S version designed for 1/12th and other classes that require 1S batteries. A high quality, durable hard case helps prevent damage while embedded socket connectors keep power-robbing resistance to a minimum. Male ESC connectors are included.

Reedy 123-S compact balance charger

Coming from Reedy is their new 123-S compact balance charger. Easy to use and in a compact package, the device is specifically designed to balance charge LiPo batteries in 2S to 3S configurations, making it suitable for a variety of applications. The charger is ideal for compact LiPo batteries used to power radios, receivers, and small-scale vehicles. Charging is as simple as inserting the battery’s balance lead into the appropriate charge port. Once connected, the charging process begins automatically. Convenient LEDs provide useful charging information and display error codes should users encounter a faulty battery or poor connections. The charger is available separately or including a Wolfpack 1600mAh 2S LiPo battery.
